Losing to the team on top and in form is no great shame but the way you do it by playing absolute dross is clearly on show this afternoon. Today has to be the turning point that the owners see it's not working and we need a change if we are to save the season.
Crowds are falling, the players look totally demotivated and drained of any spark they once held. I've given him a bit longer to sort it out after him sticking with us last season when we were on the brink of nonexistence but you can't run a football team off the past and the current and future holds more importance.
Thanks for everything Jim we appreciate it but it's just not working.

Feels like a significant defeat and sounded really bad on Dale Player. We are not out of the race yet but are making things very difficult for ourselves.

Ive resisted posting for weeks because Kel knows everything so there was no need. Men v boys today. Useless tactics, clueless gameplan. You’re a gentleman Jim. Do the honourable thing coz this is horrible to watch and the players have clearly had enough

Not aimed at you in particular, James, but people really, really need to get over Keith Hill. It’s in the past (which we used to mock bury fans for before they let their club die). Time to look forward with or without McNulty.
“He was deliberately misleading the EFL”

Whenever I read threads like the recent ones on here, I am reminded of a story from a pal who used to sell pet food for a well known manufacturer... He attended a sales conference , with well over 100 other salesmen and women, at a prestigious venue, there were a number of highly paid executives on stage and a long discussion about a new range of dog food. The animal dietician spoke about the carefully selected ingredients, the gravy and why it was excellent for animals, the marketing team talked about the TV coverage, the new commercials, the magazine articles , vouchers, special offers etc. And at the end the MD stood up and looked at the salesforce and asked a question,,... " Given everything we have heard this morning, why are you not selling more of this terrific product"? There was much shuffling of feet, eyes were diverted away from the stage and an amount of coughing and harrumphing and then a voice eventually piped up from the back of the hall..." THE F**KING DOGS DONT LIKE IT....
So here we are the football is crap, the results are mid-table we have only won 33% of home games over the last 4 seasons, 83 games and scored slightly more than 1 goal per game... " The F**king dogs dont like it". Something has to change. This situation is why gates are falling, season tickets will be a hard sell, sponsors will quit. What happens on the pitch affects everything and right now we are being fed thin gruel leading to starvation. For Gods sake give us something to cheer and shout about...and if McNulty won't, find somebody who will, we need a leader, not a lecturer.

Average attendance as things stand is 34 less than last season's average attendance. We've still got York to come and Hartlepool who always bring a fair few on their last away game.
Everyone on this forum always massively overplays how much the attendances are falling.
Tangled up in blue.

There's no-one at the club with the knowledge or experience to do so. Not counting Gauge, who's acquired 'some' experience but all negative, and wouldn't trust him to catch a cold
To say that "everyone" does is massively overplaying it too
The hard facts are known to many, as is the likelihood that those figures are only going to go one way (downwards) if our current footballing malaise continues into next season
It's hard to compare one season to the next on attendances. For example, what you would expect to be the best attended home games v Oldham, Halifax and York, have all been Tuesday nights this season, whereas last term they were all on Saturdays.
Not sure which figures you're using, ATP, but the overall average at this season's home games (2684) is down 62 on last season's 2746.
The average number of Dale fans (2360) is down 62 on last season's 2392, yet 43 up on our relegation season and 132 up on our first season back in League Two, under Stockdale.
Obviously, with a number of home games still to come, the current figures will swing one way or the other, but that's where we are as of today.
I have no doubt the BOD can put together a recruitment plan of some sort, Edward Ogden, Camerons brother owns a chunk of Spencer Ogden a recruitment company for crying out loud. It may well specialise in the oil industry but I am sure he knows enough to help to find what we need and give some ideas where to look and how to run the interviews..
The stark fact is we are not growing crowds. The product has no new buyers, people are not enjoying the show, most of us that do go, turn up as a result of sheer habit, to meet up with friends and get out of the house for a couple of hours, the football is miserable most of the time. Winning 1 in 3 losing and drawing a similar number of games at home is just poor. How long will people keep parting with their hard earned to watch 3 games in the hope of seeing a win? But for season tickets we would be struggling to get 1500 maybe even less......

I've no doubt the Ogden's have skills, or access to skills, in the recruitment business - "for crying out loud"
I'm pretty sure they know how to conduct interviews too - "for crying out loud"
Does Spencer Ogden (company) understand the managerial requirements to return to the EFL? The suggestion they might is laughable... crying out loud optional
The fact that unproven and inexperienced McNulty was given a 3 year contract on their watch indicates they are on a steep learning curve…and not far up it.

No they don’t. The only person who has brought our club any success in our lifetime is definitely a better option than what we have had since and probably after.
I’d have him back in a heart beat. He knows how to do it. Just because certain sections of the supporters didn’t like his post match interviews! It’s a joke. He can say what he wants post match, it’s what he does on the pitch that should matter. In 35 years ish of supporting Rochdale, there’s never been better football played or anywhere near the success as when KH was in charge. To say otherwise or to say ‘get over it’ speaks volumes of those that say that. Clueless.
Kenny Dalglish won a good few trophies at Liverpool, should they get him back to replace Slot? What about Rangers getting Souness back while we’re at it?
