πŸ”΄ Likely candidates for the Swans job 19:37 - Feb 17 with 33739 viewsKeithHaynes

Let’s start with the ones who are way out of their depth.

Rob Page
Garry Monk.

The Swans need to be focussed and a proper manager who knows the Championship and has been successful is the only answer. Quit dreaming about idiots πŸ‘

Needs another football man with him he can't do it all himself. Martin Hodge is going or has gone as well.

Not gonna happen I know, but Gary O'Neil would be a great appointment as long he's supported, doubt he's be interested though.

Yes, I would be in favor of a Gary O'Neil appointment. Great article by Liam: "Go for number one, save time looking for second best".

Whoever Swans sign, the manager will need to be adept/competent in training his charges in playing multiple formations. This reliance on one formation and trying to force it on the players game after game when even they can see that it's a inferior setup from the getgo has to stop.

I really like the idea of Gary O'Neil. Whether they'd be willing to pay the amount needed is the problem

O'Neil doesn't have a great record at Wolves or Bournemouth. I wouldn't put him as first choice

O'Neil has been linked to Blackburn.

Why would he come to us with the current mess we find ourselves in?

Same reason Eustace left Blackburn to take a job of a team in the relegation zone.

Eustace had a connection to Derby.

Derby have been poor, but they’re a well supported club who this season have average 28,000 st their home games. There’s potential there.

Obviously it helped but Blackburn are an absolute shower behind the scenes.

You don't just move from a team in the play offs to a club in the bottom 3 due to location alone.

Former Coventry City coach George Boateng is another option who is understood to be on the radar at the moment.

Boateng, who left the Coventry Building Society Arena following the appointment of Frank Lampard in November, is set to be interviewed by Blackburn in regards to their own vacancy, which came up after John Eustace left for Derby County.
