I'd go Bowles, as I never got to see him play.
Taraabt has been the most skillfull I've seen live in my lifetime though. Shout out to Roy Wegerle too.

I saw Marsh, Bowles and Taarabt. This might make a few hate me but I genuinely think Taarabt was the most skillful player ever at QPR. For me, his 2010/11 season was on another level than any other Rangers player before or since.

Does that make him the greatest? No. I'd say Bowles is despite Marsh being my personal favourite.

The greatest players aren't luxuries.

But if I could bring one player in for this squad it would be Venables.

Poll: Player of the Year (so far)

The greatest player ever was Rodney Marsh but Adel Taarabt runs him close. Marsh gets the award for turning his skills on week after week for 7 years compared to a single year for Taarabt.

However, if we want to strengthen the current team then I fear it is midfield / defense that needs it most so I would call up the wonderful Mike Keen who was the 3rd Division's Bobby Moore equivalent.

Venables. That is a good call. Organiser, motivator, free kick artist, visionary. A football genius. Or Super Ray Wilkins.

At least we'd beat the first man more often than not!!

Ray Wilkins.
We have had very very good players in the past, but Wilkins is probably the only World class player to wear our shirt.
Would have walked into any team at any point in history, including the Barcelona team of 10 years ago.
Had the ability to have time, anywhere on the pitch, so would handle todays pressing game.

He also possesses the major skill this team lacks in central midfield. Namely, the ability to pass a football to a teammate anywhere on the pitch.
Imagine him feeding Dembele, Saito, Chair etc. We'd rip teams apart.

My immediate thought was Rodney as he is, in my opinion, the best I’ve sever seen in the hoops. Having considered it for a while I changed my mind because he was never a luxury player. Anyone who averages a goal every other game isn’t a luxury.

So Adel or Stan? Stan worked hard almost every match and so, on the strictest definition of luxury it has to be Adel. How lucky are we to have had these three?

Bowles for me.
Marsh was great at 2nd and 3rd tier levels. Didn't really sparkle at top level.
Taarabt was outstanding for a little period. He needed work horses to cover for his lack of any defensive abilities. Burned bright and burned out all too soon.
Not only did we praise Stan for his ability to best a man and his goals, but its overlooked how hard he worked for the good of the team. A team that narrowly missed out on a League title.

Gerry Francis. Most complete footballer we have ever had.

cant disagree - I've seen all of them but for me Wilkins was just a gorgeous player with so much time on the ball, equally good with two feet. But my god we've been lucky, for a small club, to have had so many geniuses play for us

Paul Bruce.

I’ve seen Marsh and Bowles but for me it’s another vote for Gerry. In the team at 17, best player by 19 (and this was a great team) and England captain by early 20s

He wasn't brilliant at 11.
