Has left El Ettifaq by mutual consent, is he another like Rooney great players but can't cut it as manager. Hopefully Frank proves that's the case Saturday 😉

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

He did pretty well at Rangers, winning the SPL without losing a game & reaching a Europa League final. They lost on penalties, Aaron Ramsey missing his spot kick.

His shortcomings at Villa were exposed, Emery had them playing good (winning) football within a few weeks of taking over. Gerrard was on £15m a year in Saudi, probably trousered most of that tax free too

If he comes back to UK he has to put the money somewhere unless he is friendly with the ruling elite and HM revenue and off shores his gains.

He has been living in Qatar for best part of 2 years. New tax year in April, probably already spent enough days out of the country already to avoid a tax demand

No I understand that but he will pay tax on any interest if he returns to UK to live.

£30m in a bond getting 5% is £1.5m. 40% of that is £600k for HM revenue. He can invest in other places but tax claims will follow him around one way or another. Isle of Mann is an option.

His worth is over £70M, I would imagine his accountants are well on top and he has nothing to worry about.
