Hornets beaten by Widnes 23:30 - Jan 26 with 3485 views | Yorkshire_Dale | But does anyone know how the pitch faired ?
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 11:48 - Jan 27 with 3213 views | Dale_4_Life | Much dryer than forecast yesterday so the pitch should have held up ok. Currently much dryer Monday than forecast with pockets of blue sky over Spotland and a stiff breeze. It’s the 30 hours of bad weather forecast from 4pm Monday up to kick off that will decide if we play or not. Can the forecast be wrong for 3 consecutive days? Of course the groundstaff might have covered the pitch but we don’t have the correct type of cover to help. I am not holding out much hope tbh but fingers crossed.
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 11:55 - Jan 27 with 3181 views | Drigdale | I've looked on line at some pictures from the Hornets game and the pitch looked fine. However obviously it was hard to gauge how it was at the end of the match or in the areas that were poor before the game started.
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 13:41 - Jan 27 with 2950 views | 442Dale | Where are you looking for that forecast? It’s far from perfect but Met Office site is usually ok and right now they’re predicting light rain from 9pm until 2am, then 50/60% chance of light rain from 5am until the afternoon.

Hornets beaten by Widnes on 13:49 - Jan 27 with 2936 views | Dale_4_Life | BBC Weather Rochdale… They have not been very accurate over the last 48 hours TBF and it’s currently glorious in Rochdale with blue sky and bright sunshine. Hoping for the best after the mood boosting win on Saturday.
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 14:20 - Jan 27 with 2860 views | BigKindo | More lazy journalism from the BBC. The match preview for tomorrow's game is the preview written after the postponement in December. "Rochdale's National League game at home to Boston United has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch. Heavy rain led to a 10.30 GMT pitch inspection at the Crown Oil Arena, but the match official Stuart Morland deemed the surface unplayable. Sixth-placed Dale were seeking to close the gap on Oldham, in fifth, and stay ahead of the play-off chasing pack. The Pilgrims lie second-bottom and five points from safety following their promotion from National League North last season. Rochdale are due to visit AFC Fylde on Thursday, with Boston hosting play-off chasing Solihull Moors the same afternoon. A new date for the postponed match will be released in due course." Very misleading.
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 15:05 - Jan 27 with 2767 views | Dalenet | The clubs own website was advertising the hospitality package this morning for the Boston game. It is veg soup followed by a Christmas carvery. I'll bet its not.
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 23:39 - Jan 27 with 2064 views | Sandyman | Unfortunately, the same BBC mistake is now appearing with Tuesday 28th January as its date. As TVOS has pointed out in another post, Stuart Morland isn't even the match official. The other two NL games tonight have "season so far" stats on their pages, not Dale v Boston. Very poor. Hornets beaten by Widnes on 09:25 - Jan 28 with 1747 views | TVOS1907 | Yes, but BK claimed that was the match preview, which it isn't and doesn't claim to be. The Southend v AFC Fylde game was actually scheduled to take place this coming Saturday, but has been brought forward due to Southend's FA Trophy progress. As a result this is its first playing and the first time that page has appeared. Barnet v Hartlepool was postponed the day before it was due to be played (11th Jan), so the 'page' for that game had probably never been set up. As I posted last night, the change of date at the top of the page will be automatically updated from a central source used by all media outlets. It's not claiming that's the date of the story, but the date of the game, which is factually correct. You're right in that it looks poor and incompetent, and it's true that our game should by now have the same information as the other two tonight, but I'm not sure what a BBC preview would say in the first place that you won't find on here or on the club's own media. Hornets beaten by Widnes on 10:09 - Jan 28 with 1636 views | BigKindo | No I didn't claIm that it was the match preview for this evening's game. Any 'casual' reading the first two lines could assume that tonight's game was off. I read the first two lines and my heart sank - not another postponement. The date and ko time had been amended but the script was not up-dated. It will be interesting to see if it is up-dated before the ko this evening.
Hornets beaten by Widnes on 11:12 - Jan 28 with 1496 views | BigKindo | All I wished to do was point out that the BBC had not 'pulled' the previous preview and that that preview was mis-leading.
