Man U - Saints thread 19:28 - Jan 16 with 5232 views | Butty101 | Crap team tonight . Weak in the middle of the park, Sugawara out wide and nothing up front. 4-0 loss for me Southampton XI: Ramsdale, Harwood-Bellis, Bednarek, Sugawara, Bree, Ugochukwu, Aribo, Walker-Peters, Dibling, Fernandes, Sulemana. Man U - Saints thread on 19:51 - Jan 16 with 3767 views | mancuniansaint | That mistake originated from the BBC. They're showingTall Paul playing at CF as well as being on the bench!
Man U - Saints thread on 19:53 - Jan 16 with 3731 views | Flamingbankers | I'd be very worried if it was Onuachu and not Fernandes.

Man U - Saints thread on 20:51 - Jan 16 with 3534 views | 1885_SFC | 1-0 to Saints at half time. How did that happen?!?! Just as I was swearing & cursing with missed chance after missed chance, an OG finally goes our way. Gonna take a mammoth effort to win this... but COYS!

Man U - Saints thread on 20:52 - Jan 16 with 3518 views | Flamingbankers | Wow, best we've played all season . Really taken it to United and actually look like a prem team. Sulemana and Dibling having superb games. We should be a couple of goals up at least. Amazing run by Sule in 34th minute but he couldn't finish it off. Should think his value's gone up about 5 million on that first half alone. All the team playing well. Shock horror!

Man U - Saints thread on 21:02 - Jan 16 with 3468 views | UlsterBaz | Deserve that lead. Hopefully we don’t regret those missed chances though.
Man U - Saints thread on 21:05 - Jan 16 with 3450 views | grumpy | Fantastic performance so far. Concentration is vital now. Bruno Fernandes is the threat for United.
Man U - Saints thread on 21:24 - Jan 16 with 3374 views | 1885_SFC | Looks like Dibling will be crocked for Forest on Sunday then.

Man U - Saints thread on 21:52 - Jan 16 with 3258 views | kingslandstand1 | Absolute fkng useless! Who said we'd regret not taking our chances
Man U - Saints thread on 21:54 - Jan 16 with 3224 views | Southamptonfan | Played so well. But how disheartening must it be, to play well and still lose. The players arnt good enough. They know it. The opposition just have more quality. So don't be surprised when they give up trying. Play well and lose anyway, so what's the point?

Man U - Saints thread on 21:55 - Jan 16 with 3209 views | darthvader | This hurts ... 3 goals in 12 minutes... We have been soooo much better tonight . Really thought we would get another and win 2 nil .. Its the hope that kills you

Man U - Saints thread on 21:57 - Jan 16 with 3131 views | Southamptonfan | It's fine margins. We miss so many chances and they don't. We cant put teams away. It really is the difference.

Man U - Saints thread on 21:58 - Jan 16 with 3118 views | kingslandstand1 | That is why we deserve to go down. It doesn't matter how well you play, and we have tonight, if you don't kill a game or hold on with 8 minutes to go you don't deserve anything And this is not the first time this season
Man U - Saints thread on 21:58 - Jan 16 with 3119 views | UlsterBaz | The subs contributed nothing.
Man U - Saints thread on 21:58 - Jan 16 with 3104 views | Butty101 | That is a real gutter.
| |
Man U - Saints thread on 22:00 - Jan 16 with 3059 views | Southamptonfan | A real gutter yes. But the players arnt good enough. It doesn't matter who is manager. We run Liverpool close too, when Martin was manager. If you.dont have the players, you.dont win games.

Man U - Saints thread on 22:01 - Jan 16 with 3038 views | Flamingbankers | Backs against the wall second half, especially when Dibling was taken off - debilitating any outlet whilst Suleman was less effective. Still, gallant effort until the 80th minute then with a combination of bad luck and great play by Amad, we subsided. Nevermind spose that's 40 points for me in the BBC predictions league. Man U - Saints thread on 22:05 - Jan 16 with 2995 views | saintwizzler | Playing a Right Footed Left Back against Amad worked a treat. Manning at Left Back from now on.
| We thought that we had the answers,
It was the questions we had wrong. |

Man U - Saints thread on 22:05 - Jan 16 with 2989 views | 1885_SFC | That and the fact we just run out of steam. That was always obvious under Russel Martin and I reckon Juric has got a job on his hands getting them a tad fitter. We were never the same after Tyler Dibling went off injured. I know we've got a game in 3 days time but I think Juric made 1 or 2 too many changes which weakened us further. All in all though, an improvement I guess... and it's good to see Juric banishing the sh1te way RM had us playing. Better finishing tonight & we would have got something from that game.

Man U - Saints thread on 22:06 - Jan 16 with 2962 views | saint22 | Sulemana should have scored that second half chance And then our manager take of our two best players in the middle of the park and replaces them with dross and we collapse
Man U - Saints thread on 22:07 - Jan 16 with 2944 views | Southamptonfan | Absolutely. But we still lost. We don't score enough.and we let in too many. That fact remains however we play and whoever is manager.

Man U - Saints thread on 22:08 - Jan 16 with 2928 views | saintmark1976 | Rinse and repeat, it’s the Southampton way don’t you know. Exactly the same every time we play away in the Premiership, which season it doesn’t matter. Boss the game for Seventy minutes once again tonight, creating multiple chances, can’t convert and end up losing a game we should have won easily yet again. And tomorrow it will be the same old rubbish spouted again.” Good effort, we were unlucky etc etc“. It’s the Southampton way and it’s the reason we have only won one major trophy since 1885.

Man U - Saints thread on 22:08 - Jan 16 with 2922 views | dirk_doone | Smallbone started the move that led to Man United's first goal. As soon as he came on, the game turned in United's favour. Our midfield disappeared and they overran us, while Smallbone ambled about the pitch, looking lost. He can't even sprint. There is no way he should be playing at this level. On a positive note, the starting eleven played really well and deserved to win. Pity about the awful subs. If we'd started with the eleven we finished with, we'd have lost 9-0.
