I see it mostly the same way. Not angry, definitely not surprised at the loss but just disappointed at the scoreline. Would've been a bit different if I'd travelled to the game, mind

Shit but local

Why? That ignores the reality of every starting line up in almost every cup game for at least two decades, probably more.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Marti's comments before the game suggested he was taking it seriously.

Anyway we sort of got away with it at HT and it was him not changing it that has pssed me off even more

3-2 down against a team who lost 5 in a row and he does nothing when anyone who was there could see what the weak links were

I am genuinely amazed that anyone went today expecting Smythe and Morgan to start

Defence was horrendous today , ashby multiple times giving possession away. Edwards positioning (not sweeping round for ashby was horrendous) doesn’t look at the level but give him a chance. Clarke salter pulled out a few tackles especially 5th goal, could of been more aggressive and taken everything .

Overheard people talking about Kolli. Holding out for 7.5k a week! Not sure he’s worth that much. Maybe 4 max . Scoring a few goals but gifted a lot of them, including today. Overall performance wasn’t great but up against experienced defenders.

Edwards has played at this level before and done well.

Why not ?

So we can rest players for a massive clash at Plymouth on Saturday as it's so important we finish 16th instead of 17th in the Championship this season

Get him on ignore, I’ve had him there and several others for years and it’s much nicer on here without some contrarian. 25 pages on mostly reaction. Ppl like that need to provoke a reaction otherwise no one would bother talking to them. Somewhere between Jonny rotten and trump

Look its the bloody FA cup. You have got to try more than that. Having been one of the 4500, we deserved more. If we were wining more we would have that support all the time they were great. We would pack the grounds on a decent cup run it would be amazing imagin a 6th round tie. You got to try else whats the point. Look at Leicester they have beem champions and fa cup winners and there support was shite. Need to do better MC hope this doesn't end in a form dip . Don't chamge a winning team

Almost 25 pages of classic LFW banter. Imo, today can be summarised into 3 points;

In 1. Cifuentes said one thing, then did another with regard to our Cup history/mindset and how he was going to change that and then he made the team selection.

In 2. Cifuentes, to back up his earlier "promise", should have made changes earlier.

In 3. Our Cup runneth bummed in the gob.

I've got the Power.

It was my 10yr old Grandson’s first away game.My eyesight’s foggy at the best of times but when he tore I his hat off despite the freezing condensation dripping on our heads when the 3rd went in was priceless..😂

Did you go to the Luton game , Smythe was on his haunches blowing after every run from 20 minutes in .
Morgan is 18 years old and because Madsen isnt cutting it has played more and more mins over an intensive Christmas period . A huge gamble
We have already burnt off budget having to loan Edwards because of injury instead of enhancing the quad. .
Plymouth is just the start of a run of winnable games then Blackburn which may turn out to be a week off then more winnable games . We may be able to forget relegation by then .

its the FA Cup so what ?
No Replays
Ties played 5 days with 9 different kick off times (2pm??)
Draw at any time over the 5 days even if the ties from the previous round are not completed
Semi Finals at Wembley
Final Kick off time 5 pm
VAR introduced half way through the competition
The "Emirates.FA Cup "

If they dont take it seriously why should anyone else ?

Bring back "Its a Cup Final knockout" and on the team coaches for a start

Yeah I get it about Smyth but I still would have started him myself .

Like I said we sort of got away with the poor team selection at HT if he made changes like Dunne and Morgan coming in for Madsen and Ashby .

Like I've also said don't give it loads before the game about changing culture then play that team !

Anyway lovely moment celebrating with my youngest at his first away game when Varane's cracker went in so it wasn't all bad

Up the Rangers

Yes, well done to all, singing through the fog. (There's probably a metaphor there I can't bear to explore.)

Ahh the victim card comes out again. Go back and look at your reply when someone spoke to you about your poll. They started it with 'no offence'
So what did you do. Had a little hissy fit, was rude, condescending and sarcastic. You can't even see it which is the scary thing. No self awareness sadly.

I had no problem with the degree to which Marti toasted players today, every one of those players except Edwards (who arrived last week) and Walsh have played major minutes for us this year, it's not as if any of the rest were reserves or youngsters thrown in for debuts.

However I do think it was a mistake not to take at minimum Ashby and probably Madsen off at half time. We were arguably the better team in the first half with a couple of very clear weak links and that game was still there for the taking at 3-2.
