The problem is at the very top 17:41 - Jan 4 with 1627 viewsSouthamptonfan

I will say it again. We can keep swapping the managers if we like. And 50 million quid later, after paying them all off, the team gets worse and worse. The players arnt good enough. The leadership isn't good enough. Juric will be the next one to go. But it's not the managers. Nothing will change because the owners are sh!t.

Ralph out FFS.

Oops typo. That was three years ago.

There is no point swapping managers if the owners go and get another poor one.

So if all the managers that we appoint are poor, even though they are much better elsewhere, that's still the owners fault.

Why is there such a lack of resilience and fight in our players? You can blame the managers, the owners etc but look how easy Brentford scored early and continued to do so. Look how little we offered in midfield and going forward. Yes, the quality etc may not be there but you see lower league sides play against PL sides in the cups and show fight. Our players show none whatsoever - is that all the managers or is it that their morale is so low they just cannot lift themselves, or do they simply not care?

We are down. They have given up. In the odd game that we have played well, we still lost. So if you keep trying and you always fail, you give up. The players arnt good enough and they know it.

The owners keep appointing poor managers, who else is at fault?

I'm glad we can agree on where the problem lies. So hopefully we won't waste any more time in wanting managers out time and time again and instead put our. efforts towards blaming the real.culprits, who would in turn appoint good managers, once the owners change.

Should of got Steve Cooper in.
An experienced manager in The Championship and PL .
I doubt he would of saved us but could plan for upcoming season(s) in The Championship.

The trouble is buying Championship players and expecting miracles in the PL.
Everything is done on the cheap with Sport Republic.
Juric was appointed as no compensation needed.
I wonder if the flats will be on the cement works by SMS?

I’m glad people are finally seeing the root cause of our demise.

SPORT REPUBLIC

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

I saw it when Ralph left.and they didn't buy him the striker he demanded

I am not sure it is the current owners although sacking Ralph and getting in Jones was particularly stupid and getting promoted with no stand out attacking players has led us to where we are at the moment

We have been on a decline for several years nothing coming from the Academy and decent players not interested in joining us .

We managed to survive with home produced players but now Chelsea hover up the better young players in Berkshire and North Hampshire

The future is not bright but like Ipswich Town we will no doubt return to the PL one day

And when was the last time we recruited a decent PL Player apart from KWP

Needed more than a striker.
All the Crown Jewels were gone and Sport Republic bought a load of Man City kids in.

Why do people keep on praising KWP.
He might not be one of our worst players but he's grossly overated.
Yes he's good on the ball but he carries it too far & there's very little end product.
As for his defending, he's rubbish.
But he flatters in a very poor team, I'm not convinced he'd get regular games for any other Premier Club.

Ramsdale and that was only because the £7m deal for Feyenoord’s keeper fell through as he failed the medical.

Sport Republic, under various managers and various directors of football have destroyed our club. We at least had Ings, Ward-prowse, Adams, Fraser Forster, a few others but they all got sold. We have brought in Carrillo, Tall Paul, Sulemana, Bree, Cornet, and so on. We don't have not even one, match winner. We couldn't score even if we played all night

Fraser Forster and Danny Ings left before SR I think Carillo was years ago but you are right SR bought a club with few decent players

KWP has been a decent PL player for us no question

It has to be asked why Bree is playing Right Wing Back.
Sulemana keeps getting chance after chance.
Onuachu ishould be nowhere near a PL start.

Manning LWB
KWP RWB

Aribo looks like he’s running through sand.
That Les bloke had one good game against WHU, was dropped for Palace, then started today and was absolutely shit.

Harwood-Bellis was a disgrace today too. All over the place.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

It's SR who have made mistake after mistake since their arrival. And Sport Republic comes in two parts. One part is the money which is Dragan Solak, the other part is the 'brains' which is Rasmus Ankerson ,and the other fella. Dragan Solak needs to off load the 'brains' before they loose him even more money.

I do not get playing KWP at LB time and time again
Play a LB there and a RB there
Missed Fernandez today too, our midfield was invisible
God knows where we go from here other than down

I ain’t convinced he did.

Seem strange that we went from spending £7 million on a keeper to £20 million when all of a sudden Ramsdale became available who we had been chasing for much of the summer.

Agree with you there Grim, seems some 'fans' have never seen a good full back play for Saints try Ivan Golac or Mick Mills or Steve Mills or Mark Dennis or Peter Rodriques or Jason Dodd. KWP just isn't up to their level of consistent quality albeit that he's been OK for Saints and on occasions good to very good. Charging up the pitch and putting in the occasional good cross, and scoring the odd goal, doesn't make a consistently good full back. Being a consistently good defender, whose duty is primarily to defend, isn't KWP. Tottenham did get rid of him for a reason. The clue is in the direction of players Saints to Spurs eg. Chivers, Bale, Wanyana, Richards - good ( except F Forster but that was knowingly for a second stream keeper) but Spurs, which doesn't happen often, to Saints eg. Frank Saul, Jamie Redknapp and KWP - not so good.

I agree he is not as good as the ones you mention but he is a great deal better than most of the players we have today

Low bar unfortunately. I noticed our former young left back Meghoma was on the Brentford subs bench. Funnily enough, he came from Tottenham.
