We are a complete and utter mess and I have no faith in those running SR managing to sort it out. The club needs to be sold to new owners preferably with at least a slight clue how to do things. Martin Semmens made a huge mistake when he sold us to SR and it will not be resolved until new owners are in place. It's a hopeless situation.

The funny thing is when you look at the team that beat Brentford 4-1 in Sport Republic's first game in charge at St Mary's, it didn't look that good on paper. None of the players - Forster, Perraud, Lyanco, Md.Salisu, Diallo, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Broja, Redmond etc - has gone on to do much since, yet we've somehow managed to replace them with a team that's much worse.
Ankersen's move from Brentford to Saints has certainly had a vey big impact.
Only a mass alien invasion of planet Earth would prevent us from finishing this season with a single digit points tally and put us out of our misery - thus preventing us becoming the laughing stock of the footballing world yet again...as if the two nine-nils weren't embarrassing enough already.
A sad but very true fact. Why is it always Southampton F.C.?

There is so much noise about play this player, play that player, change the tactics, change the manager, change the goalkeeper and so on. Everything will be so much better when the next manager plays the right team.and tactics. Does anybody not find it strange that EVERY manager fails? These same managers don't fail at other clubs, necessarily, just at Southampton.
We still.lose every game, because we don't have a match winner and we don't have enough quality. But ultimately the club is toxic. Saints will continue to die under various managers because these owners are a disaster. The club is in chaos and there is nothing any manager can do with such terrible players.
Ever since Sport Republic arrived they’ve made bad decision after bad decision you couldn’t brake a club better if you tried.
What’s more shameful is they’ve spent about £200 million to get relegated twice and put together the worst team in top flight history.
From not sacking Ralph in that 1st summer, giving him a load of coaches he didn’t want, as you say a fascination of buying young players from Man City, and wasting millions on players like tall Paul and Sulemana .
Utter chances and you wonder how Sport republic have not gone bust way before they came along.

They have spent millions on various managers and millions.on terrible players. Brentford who have kept the same manager for years, have spare money to spend on the team. The vicious circle just goes round and round.
Thats may well be true but the team was pretty shit when they bought the club so they bought what was available with the only decent ones Lavia and Tino pissing off

I refer you to the first game at St Mary's after the Sport Rebublic takeover, when we beat Brentford 4-1. About half the Brentford team was the same today, but only Bednarek remained from our winning team. I guess you don't appreciate what you've got 'til it's gone (and gets replaced by something that's much worse). Maybe Forster, Perraud, Md. Salisu, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Broja, Adams etc weren't that bad after all.
