Apologies if there is a transfer thread I'm opening a thread for the January transfer window which has now opened.
Who should be a potential signing for us and who should move on either via loan or permanently? I've heard Kyrell Lisbie & Gus Scott Morriss mentioned as potential targets but could they potentially make the jump from NL to L2? Some players do but others don't.
Plus actual transfers that we bring in & out can also be mentioned here. | |

Think we should put the Joe Taylor thing to bed now as we have as much chance of signing him as Hopper scoring! Ok, a slim chance but VERY, VERY unlikely!

Joe is not wanted at Luton he hardly gets a kick these days, I think he will leave either on loan or a full transfer in this window but he will be expensive. Lincoln enquired in the Summer but said he was way out of their league both in terms of salary and transfer fee. Lincoln reckoned they would need a cash injection of £3-5 million to sign him! According to transfermarkt he's worth £350k so Luton would never get anything like that sort of transfer figure for him. As that is the sort money a championship club would pay in a transfer fee and no club in that league would pay that for a striker who has scored no goals in a season.
And if he is released as may be the case depending on how long his contract has left to run then I imagine he would likely leave on a free. Then its just the wages to be sorted and agreed depending on who goes for him.
Agreed its unlikely he would join us but sometimes players have to go down 1 or 2 leagues to find their true level.
I do agree however that we need LT back sooner rather than later though as he is a much more reliable goal scorer than Hopper could ever dream to be. | |

Huddersfield were keen to sign him but I do not understand why he is being treated so shabbily by Luton

Transfer market is a load of rubbish I wouldn’t take any notice of their valuations. I think the bottom end of the Lincoln estimate is nearer the truth when you take into account salary etc over 2-3 seasons. Like always if it goes to a price war between competing championship teams the final price with add ons etc could well be around £3 million. | | | |

His loan back in 2017 didn't really work out, but how about Nicke Kabamba at Barnet - scoring plenty in the National League. Already on 12 in all competitions this season, scored 32 and 19 in the previous two seasons. Would he be tempted though, given Barnet are in the hunt for automatic promotion? | |
