Welcome to the Luke Williams derby. The game where he will take charge of the Swans in the first half and the Baggies in the second. And then hopefully feck off with them up the M5 š
He must have been looking at me with my folded arms. We were there to support the club but it was flat until we scored, it was like a dentists waiting room. It was freezing but there was no real support, a really strange game, are we just waiting for him to balls up?
Agree about being disgusted with the way this week has gone. IMO Williams has tried to dig himself out of a hole when he realised he was not going to get the job. When West Brom appoint a manager I would like to see Coleman put Williams on gardening leave, no need to pay him off, WBA don't get someone for free and we can move on and appoint a manager who wants to be here.

They go on about the worst team in the league In many ways we are Certainly the most boring Our home crowd says it all,or doesnāt really. It is a painful watch Grimes the omnipotent, the irreplaceable ,the root cause of most of our issues on the pitch Why? Because he is still doing what he did under Russ. Sideway, backwards . Itās horrific . We should ask ourselves how he gets away with it all the time .
Vig has been getting worse under Lukey after a great start. He made some good saves today, but shouldnāt have been beaten for their goal. Itās basic stuff. He seems lost when looking for somebody to kick the ball too. This is coaching.AGAIN . We simply have no idea as to attack
We did see a plan B today from Vig, something Iāve not seen in a long while. What do they call it, a goal kick I think. No passing sideways to Darling or Key, just belted down the ground. Maybe LW is learningš
LW says "I think we deserved a draw. I don't think there was a huge amount in the game either way. Both teams looked very tired but I think we were value for a point.
"Liam [Cullen] has played a lot of minutes and he was starting to look tired, the pitch is heavy, and he'd just started to lose his energy, and Joey Allen is a special player.
"Some players are a full-back or a winger or a midfielder, and some are just footballers. Joe Allen is just a footballer. He knows how to handle himself in all different scenarios. He can understand things at a very high level."
the last paragraph str8 out of the fishes comment. ......

Odd quote from him considering that Williams clearly can't tell the difference between a winger and a midfielder.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Itās not just your opinion. Itās mine and Iād imagine lots of others too. I hope this doesnāt get swept under the carpet. Big test for Coleman.

That was probably the least āLuke Williamsā performance Iāve seen this season. Probably because Christie isnāt trusted to play triangles out from the back. We lumped it clear at lot more today.
When we did try to play intricate football, we made a lot more mistakes than usual. Their goal came from miscommunication between Cullen and I think Franco. Grimes lost it a few times, not in especially dangerous positions, but he doesnāt have the pace to recover when he gets turned over.
I thought most of our team looked jaded. Others can afford to rotate, we canāt. Grimes, Cullen and Key looked particularly knackered. Only Darling and Franco had really good games IMO.
Lucky to get away with that if Iām honest.

Iād use this game to try out some of the fringe players who are the future and maybe some experience - Naughton, Allen etc. to give them game time. Have some first teamers on the bench but rest as many as they can. I personally donāt care about the cup. Iād rather us be fit and ready for the next league game. Who are we playing by the way?š
What is really annoying is we didn't find or even try to the channels into the gaps between the centre half and the full back in the box that caused so much problems to QPR, it was a very nip and tuck game but we had to do some determined defending Darling obviously the stand out defender. Like how Key, Franco and Ronald are creating space on the right even with the slower ball from Christie, that trio are still have a way to go in becoming a force to be reckoned with but it is getting better, final balls or crosses still need work on to cause more of a problem for the opposition.
And yet the goal and similarly to the one against Luton came from the testing ball high into box from the left.
Find it strange how we do the little short balls in ridiculously tight situations instead of just putting the ball into the space beyond oncoming opposition players even when the space has been created we persist in playing to feet and with the exception of some rare cases end up getting closed down and yet do not play the short balls into the box.
Up front but numerous runs are being made but not acted upon usually by the time they are the runners have drifted offside. We played enough high balls but didn't get players around our player challenging in the air when we did it caused them problems.

People will have to accept that whoever replaces Williams will face the same squad depth handicap that he has all season and has never been more obvious than today.
Honestly think heās a dead man walking after he crossed Coleman though.
I donāt mind our managers being ambitious and I would expect them to have their head turned by PL clubs or the likes of Leeds and Sheffield United.
To bend over for West Brom and disrespect the club while doing it though, is way too much.
