Injuries 18:58 - Dec 26 with 16491 views | numptydumpty | WTF is happening So many players seemingly picking up injuries between matches What happened with Morrison ?? But seriously this season is a total catastrophe with injuries. Almost guaranteed each game at least one and almost guaranteed , another goes strangely invisible, during a break between games. There must be reasons but this for me is the worst ever season I can remember for injuries !!!!!!! I am surprised if we dont pick up a couple more injured, every single week ... Injuries on 07:38 - Dec 31 with 872 views | stowmarketrange | It makes me wonder how players managed when games were sometimes played on consecutive days like December 1977,when we played on the 27th and 28th.Players never spent 30 minutes warming up before games,or warming down either. Although with back passes to the keeper allowed, players got more of a rest during games than they do now. | | | ![](/images/icons/ignore-user.png) |

So while footballers these days are much more impressive physical specimens, there's probably a bit more load bearing going on. And in a sport where there's lots of short bursts of sprinting plus all the twisting and turning, that's going to put a lot more pressure on muscles, ligaments and tendons. As I mentioned in an earlier post, maybe players should spend a bit more time in the pub? | |
