That’s going to mess up WBA somewhat.

Might be a good time to let everyone know that Marti is a rubbish manager.

Well let's hope it doesn't become more relevant to us in the coming days.

West Brom fans weren’t exactly delighted with Corberan but they’re a mystifyingly hard bunch to please. Coops Cooper feels the move there. Saint Marti would hold out for something better IMO as would Rohl.

Have to start flagging Valencia for draws on my ACCAs.

Team who challenges for promotion versus team that rejoices in the heady heights of 14th place, hmm.

He may have realised by now that we’re always a project for next year.

I’ll be very surprised if WBA don’t put out feelers.

It would be Micky Beale levels of weaseling for Marti to leave now (if offered a job there) after the support shown by the fans.

Shirley Marti's 'multi year contract' extension ties him down at least for a year? Can't see him going anywhere until he has finished a season with us sitting proudly atop the mid table huddle.

Valencia are an absolutely awful mess at the moment. Terrible absent owner. On a huge downwards trajectory. I get it that he's a Valencia native, they're his club. But thats a heart over head decision if he goes as thats not going to be a great place to work!

West Brom are working under an EFL business plan, which might limit their options.

Even if they get some decent compensation for Corberan from Valencia they might prefer a currently out of work option like Mark Robins or Russell Martin, rather than handing that compo over to us for Marti.

Robins is an interesting one, apparently has said he wants to take time out after Cov. Or maybe that's just cos the approach was from Millwall.

Coopers last two jobs were in the Premier League, and he was unlucky to be sacked from both of them.

He won't be coming back to the Championship this season for a club that has burned through all its parachute payments.

Yeh, tends to only go where he can spend money as well but we'll see where he ends up.

He’s a meh manager no Prem team is likely to want any time soon unless he does something with a club like West Brom IMO. Would be one of the better lookers in West Bromwich too.

The rational part of me says there’s no way WBA, with their current financial situation, take that £3m and use it to pay compo for another manager. The emotional part of me is already entering extreme anxiety for Marti’s poaching.

Based on how they were doing pre-Corberan this squad are currently over-achieving. Bit of a poisoned challice.

He's easily the best thing about them. We elevated them six places in our season preview purely on the basis he was still manager.

I think we continue to vastly overestimate how attractive Marti might be to other clubs.

He moved us up a whole five places last season and this season we're at the giddy heights of 14th after one of the worst, if not the worst, starts to a season we've ever had and playing absolutely awful football. No one is looking at that record and thinking, fantastic, this guy looks ideal for a promotion campaign.

Yep, this. I get the obvious concern, but ( famous last words) I'm personally not too worried about this one. West Brom are post-parachute, on a reportedly parlous financial trajectory and come across as a busted flush. Can't see the attraction for Marti/Zavi here. And, as said, as long as the rest of the football world doesn't look too closely, we're hardly flying ourselves in recent times.

The Sheffield Wednesday manager will be the more likely option for any top Championship teams as he’s done an excellent job.

Also might be more likely to make the same sort of move Corberan has - being linked with some pretty good jobs in Germany.

Wednesday are a good comparison as it goes. Anyone believe they're a better side player for player? And yet there they are, seven points to the good, nine wins to our five.

Would Russell 'Sticking to my philosophy' Martin be interested? Maybe if he gets an allowance for polo neck jumpers and hair stylists he would be tempted

We've been battling relegation all season. They have been top 6. Marti has never managed a top six Championship club. I think we are safe enough.
