Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 17:28 - Dec 16 with 3312 views | stevec | I’ve been trying to imagine what kind of collective mood we’d have been in if the first half v Oxford and the first half v Bristol were both amalgamated into one full 90 minutes. Its astonishing that this kind of tosh sees us with more points than games played and six teams below us.
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 17:33 - Dec 16 with 3288 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Didn't think the Oxford performance could be matched, but what do I know. Painful to watch, but we'll take the point. Russell Martin take note.
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 18:26 - Dec 16 with 3030 views | Paddyhoops | We were rubbish but it’s the same side which comfortably beat Norwich and should have been out of sight against Watford. We looked completely shattered against city but dug in for a very good point in the end.
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 18:36 - Dec 16 with 2973 views | Hooping_Mad | Don't normally go after the ref but I thought he looked 2 leagues out of his depth, free kicks, corners, bookings. 5 would have been generous.

Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 18:47 - Dec 16 with 2920 views | mart_Goblin | Cheers Clive as ever . Fair report on what was a terrible team display . I made Varane man of the match after the game but looking at his passing stats I’m not sure I can . It also means that someone behind him is getting him and the players around him with similar or worse stats , out of the sh+t on a regular basis , so happy to concede Morrison as man of the match . I genuinely think JCS is going to struggle to get back in the side . How do you drop him? Credit where credit is due to the recruitment team ( which sticks in my craw) on Morrison. He’ll be sold on for more, injuries pending, and that is surely the model to be following .
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 20:44 - Dec 16 with 2439 views | Andybrat | Makes a change us scoring the “worldie” instead of being the victim of one. Only saw the second half, agree we looked knackered, thinking next Saturday will be far better. I thought a big statement that Santos not even on the bench when we have injuries suspect we won’t see him any time soon with 1st team. Illias needs more minutes as much for his fitness but to give Saito a rest, people mention Morrison as a data success this smiling lad is not far behind. Great report Clive
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 08:04 - Dec 17 with 1574 views | thehat | Thanks Clive - Great summary especially for those of us not there but watching on TV. One thing that stood out was Anderson can now only be used as a second half sub. It really looks like his legs won't allow him to start matches at this level. I saw it close up and live at Leeds and it looked just as bad on TV in this match. Special shout out to the fans who travelled in great numbers at this time of year with the early kick off.
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 09:25 - Dec 17 with 1410 views | Watford_Ranger | Struggling to remember a worse performance where we didn’t lose. There’s probably a flukey 1-0 win I’ve forgotten where we played as badly that I’ve blocked out of my memory. The famous Paul Hart 2-1 win (Bristol City also?) but from memory that wasn’t as tragic as the first hour in particular here. [Post edited 17 Dec 9:26]

Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 13:30 - Dec 17 with 972 views | BrizR | Andersen was absolutely shocking. Ten months ago I was stood in basically the same place at Ashton Gate watching him for the first time and he was streets ahead, on Saturday he looked like someone's dad being allowed to play for a laugh. He offers nothing defensively as he can't close anyone down, and any time the ball comes to him he kills a move dead as he can't get it out quickly or accurately. When he showed up in January he always seemed to have an extra second to think than anyone else did, which made up for the fact he's not fast - now he looks a second behind everyone else. It's a bit sad to watch, and he's only 30.
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 14:05 - Dec 17 with 882 views | stainrods_elbow | I don't know what's happened to him, and I agree it's rather pitiful. He needs to be offloaded back to any Scandi minnow who'll take him as things stand. Embarrassing for Marti and the recruitment team either way!

Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 15:27 - Dec 17 with 715 views | BrizR | I think when he arrived it was a fair enough signing - he looked like exactly what his CV suggests, a bloke who had a lot of promise (enough to play in the CL for Ajax) but lacks that extra 10% of athleticism to stay at that level. It's the regression over the summer that is baffling, six weeks off shouldn't turn a player like that into someone who struggles to play a simple pass!
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 16:12 - Dec 17 with 611 views | NorthantsHoop | Such a shame with Andersen, he really looks shot this season and was such a great watch when he joined the club and a key part in us staying up. He has looked out of sorts since picking up that injury taking a corner at Sheff Utd in August.
Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report on 18:56 - Dec 17 with 427 views | queensparker | One that sticks in my mind was a home 1-0 win against Aston Villa the year we went down from the Prem (or maybe the one before) Jergen Sommer had an absolute worldie in goal and we scored a jammy goal with our only vague attack. It was total daylight robbery It stood out as we’d been impregnable at home for years, the beginning of the new era….
