Ford v Ferrari. Probably the best film ive seen in the last 10 years .
Also, keeping with Bale... The Fighter.

Occasional providers of half decent House music.

The Bromley Boys is a bit shit and a bit cheesy, but comforting to fans of football clubs below the circus.

The first Rocky film i loved.

Weird bum almost beating the crap out of the flashy Muhammad Ali type.

Walking in a "Mackie Wonderland"

Again, the book's far better than the film and very nostalgic for the older gentleman.

there is a boxing film the BLEEDER about chuck wepna who came from nowhere to fight ALI , he cut easily and bled a lot, hence the nickname. this film covers his story and the ROCKY films, he claims, are based on his life . it's ok.

Oh, Disco, ID. My S Club 7 Dont Stop Movinโ€™ guilty secret of the film world.

The god-like Sean Pertwee, Saskia Reeves, playing quite possible the FILTHIEST barmaid in the history of UK screen, itโ€™s even got belly laughs, provided by that sit-com no mark playing the coked-up hard man lead and โ€ฆ. well I just canโ€™t watch an episode of Outnumbered without thinking โ€œwhy canโ€™t it be happy sex?โ€
Quite wrong of me, of course.

Um, has anyone said Mean Machine? (The original of course, you youngsters).

I love Moneyball, too.

Eight men out is probably the greatest sporting film, baseball makes great movies.
Fire in Babylon is a brilliant doc about West Indies cricket.
Both Rocky and Raging Bull are brilliant.

I agree. I find it gets better and better with repeated viewing.

Some others I haven't seen mentioned yet which I thought were worth watching:

I, Tonya (Ice Skating)
Rush (Motor Racing: James Hunt/Niki Lauda rivalry)
The Wrestler (the Mickey Rourke one)
The Keeper (Football: based on the life of Bert Trautmann)

And another mention for some already mentioned:

Lagaan (Cricket)
The Iron Claw (Wrestling)
Next Goal Wins (Football)
Ford v Ferrari (Motor Racing)
The Blind Side (American Football)

Even if you aren't into golf, I liked both The Greatest Game Ever Played and The Legend of Bagger Vance.

Agree with others on Ford v Ferrari and Moneyball, two very good films.

A couple more Iโ€™ve not seen mentioned.

โ€˜Into the Storm: Surfing to Surviveโ€™ is an inspiring documentary about a young surfer from a poor neighbourhood in Peru trying to make it as a pro.

โ€˜Challengersโ€™ is a love triangle romp spread over the careers of 3 players on the US tennis circuit. The tennis scenes are really well done and I enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought I would is all Iโ€™m going to say

Not seen it for many years but it really is superbly done.

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." Must admit I haven't read the entire thread so this may have been suggested already but I thought 'Cool Runnings' was a pretty inspirational film
