I'm no HR expert but I know that we could just stop him doing sh*t like that (or pretty much anything) if he was on gardening leave. But if he did it with the club's approval, we would still have to pay him. The reality would be a negotiated settlement and exit from the club.
There's no way he would sit at home for 3 years doing nothing, so it would be a negotiated exit of maybe 1 years wages UNLESS he has some kind of sacking clause in his contract saying we'd have to pay the full amount. Rusty, the fans understand exactly what you are trying to do, but they also understand that it isn't fvcking working. The problem is that YOU don't understand.
Take the example you're talking about. The fans know it may come back when we kick it upfield, but they also know that is better than giving away yet another goal by pissing around at the back.
The fans also understand that if our forwards can't compete for the ball then that is a big fvcking problem. Any one of the tens of thousands of them would have known that this meant we needed to recruit someone in the summer who could compete for the ball, particularly with Che leaving. But YOU Rusty didn't understand this, so we didn't prioritise a centre forward because you think that kicking it long is beneath your cultured brand of football.
