Two goals
Kissing the badge celebration...

Interesting to see what happens next.

I didn't manage to see the game but understand he was sensational.

He certainly made a good case for a new, improved contract.

Agreed

Some of the ITK fans, saying he should have accepted the club's offer and signed a new long term contract, without knowing what has been offered, make me laugh. The next contract he signs has such a large impact on the rest of his career. I really hope the club get this one right and get to an acceptable point for both parties.

Being at the club for so long has probably been detrimental to his earning power and my guess would be he is the lowest earner in the current squad. If we'd picked him up as a cast off from a bigger club, I am sure we would be paying him more.

Kolli's bargaining hand just got a lot stronger and he needs to back up the performance on Wednesday.

Maybe he did sign a contract.

Isn’t it now policy to delay announcing it?

Ultimately I think he should have been offered a contract and be tied down already, he's obviously the best of the youth players and his exile from the team this year - even as a bench option - was shown to be an oversight (& fcking stupid) on Saturday.

However... You don't offer deals off the back of one good game, and if there are reasons why you aren't given a deal in the months before - those don't suddenly change over the course of 90mins. Marti himself said post-match that Kolli is aware of what he needs to do to improve, so let's see him continue to impact games and follow the coaches, then the rewards will come, that's how it's supposed to work.

I also remember Willock having a very involved Dad in the background, and it meant contract demands and his perception were massively inflated. I would't be surprised - like Armstrong before him - if Kolli doesn't have an overbearing agent / representative pushing for money or squad status that we deem unreasonable. I hope we reach a compromise and have him here because personally I love watching him, but these deals for young players on the edge of squads are becoming increasingly more difficult to settle.

He been here the same amount of time Nourry's been in football? Spooky.

The lad's only played a total of about 160 minutes this season. Within that short period, essentially two games, he has scored two goals and provided one assist. I'd say that he has already clearly demonstrated what he is capable of.

The fact that somebody saw it fit to ostracise him for about 10 league games, is folly of the highest order. He's way ahead of all of his peers of similar age, Morgan being the exception.

By way of comparison, experienced, Danish international Andersen, who takes free-kicks and corners and has played for over 4 times as many minutes as Kolli, has no assists and the one goal provided by the 19-year old.

We've got two real prospects at the club: Kolli and Morgan, who if nurtured properly, could generate this club a lot of money in years to come. It's now down to the club to ensure that their undoubted talents are fully realised.

My one criticism of Kolli; stop doing those over-exuberant knee slides please, after having scored. I don't want you to injure yourself

Many people bad mouthed him here because he allegedly refused to go out on loan or sign a new contract, all without substance it appears

That said, as many also said (I believe Clive included) said that he should be nowhere near the team after his performance v's WBA so yes he had a great performance on Saturday but lets not claim him to be the coming of the 2nd messiah.

Listening to Marti's interview post match there has clearly been some behind the scenes issues that we are not privy to, (despite some who think they are) but I hope they are behind him and the talking is on the pitch, not off it but he clearly has talent.

Only just managed to see the highlights having missed the live feed. Only highlights of course, but very encouraging from Kolli and the whole team.

Zero doubt he has something about him and can compete at this level. He'll naturally be inconsistent for a while and make mistakes, but he's an obvious talent that we should be building around (Morgan too as another poster said above).

To me, he has plenty of attributes: touch (with both feet), awareness, bit of pace, decent strength, movement, and football intelligence that you can't fully teach. As much as I love Celar's redemption arc and feel sympathy for his injury, Kolli has to start a few games in a row now, and I think he offers a little bit more up front in terms of movement, which changes the ways we can play/attack.

Not the messiah, but exactly what this club says it's all about (and many of us want it to be all about).

Most encouraging bits of the highlights for me were (1) the interplay with Saito and later on with Morgan to set up his shot on goal and Kolli then outdueling the defender and curling just wide. So much to love there. (2) Madsen appearing to work hard and close down.

Fair play to the new lads in particular getting themselves accustomed and trying to take their game to the next level.

Really hope he signs a contract extension.

But lets not assume the club has messed up. I mean, it is perfectly capable of having done so, but we don't know the contract demands or if there are any other off-field issues.

He seems very likeable and a great prospect (the best to emerge here since Chair). But so did Ledesma when we printed all those commemorative t-shirts...

Sorry if mentioned already, but did anyone notice where he was standing when Dunne scored? Bit of a poachers instinct I think / hope.

Had to laugh - just went to google something on my phone, and Google's algorithm thought I'd want to read a story about QPR and Kolli.

Not a bad guess, Al, what's that you have for me? Football League News, you say? Sounds promising, I'll venture a click on that.

Shame it's an article from two days ago saying we should ship Kolli out in the transfer window in order to gamble (their word) on a 19 year old kid from Spurs who has hardly scored any goals.

In other news: Guitar groups are on the way out, Mr Epstein.

Maybe I’m just old ,but I beliveve. You’re paid what you are worth, at present he’s prob worth 3k a week max , if he improves and becomes the next Ronaldo the club offer him a better deal . And with a sell on clause , why does he or any player just because he’s been at the club since he was a kid deserve shed loads more ? Do it on the pitch gets better deal ,haven’t seen llloyd or morgan begging for more money have we ?

I have no idea what club have offered or what Kolli wants. Just glad he got some proper game time and showed what he has to offer. Hopefully a solution is near.

This is a valid point .
We only knew Armstrong signed an extension because his agent posted a picture of them both shaking hands at the training ground . Maybe the contract has been sorted / signed now ?

I do know for a fact that Ebere's 1st pro contract was for £630 pw as he told me. As soon as the club realised what they had, he was offered a mid season contract renewal on a lot more money, I have no clue what Rayan is paid but I wouldn't be surprised if the £650 pw was in the right ballpark.
