I had the opportunity this week of a discussion with Lee Hoos prior to the Cardiff game who I have to say was very open and as a person very impressive. I have no doubt he has the club’s best interests at heart. My conversation was respectful but also quite direct. I said that the fans were still in support of Marti but felt that Nourry had not done well on recruitment and if there was a lamb for the slaughter the general feeling around me in the Upper Loft was it had to be him with maybe Belk to follow. I was also scathing about Celar but at the same time concerned for his welfare. It can’t be easy having 10000 plus people giving you a hard time. This was before his tremendous evening!
Firstly Marti was a part of the recruitment process , nothing was thrust on him with regard to the first team. He was not however involved in the recruitment of development players . Having said that Marti has liked the look of Morgan and Bennie and has upgraded them. Lee also pointed out that Nourry was heavily involved in the January signings which made a significant positive impact.
With regard to Celar he apparently is really good in training but his confidence is very low. Lees view was that as a crowd we should try to help him rather than chastise him. He appreciated this can be difficult but he could not emphasise enough the effect the crowd has on moral. I have been guilty of the being exasperated with a couple of players - Celar, Madson and Anderson especially!- but I hear that they are trying their best and cheer rather than a jeer may be of greater help.
Lee was open to a suggestion that someone , maybe Paul Morrisey should provide an update as to the process and where we sit as a club at the moment. If he can do this I think it would be very helpful.
Overall I have to say a lot of my faith was restored [ doesn’t mean we are not on trouble but I do believe people care a lot] and Lee really could not of been nicer or more willing. It will certainly be helpful if Paul can provide a statement and let us hope this happens. I guess despite perhaps thinking otherwise my impression is that everyone is pulling together and it is not an us or them. Regardless of what happens it was important to me to have a true sense that people cared. Also that Marti did not have players imposed on him was good to know.

Your prerogative (if you're reading this), but then why contribute to it signficantly if you don't expect a response youmay or may not agree with? This a a fan board, not a mothers' meeting.
As for 'aggressive toxicity', though I see none here (only interesting/important argument and counter-argument), there's also something called passive aggression/self-righteousness you may want to consider. In my experience, a lot of people who make accusations about the former love to indulge in the latter. [Post edited 28 Nov 16:48]

A lot of guesswork in there considering as you rightly say we’ll never know the whole truth.
I would also point out that it’s more than understandable that Marti’s body language and interviews have come across as negative when you’re coaching a team at the bottom of the league. He looked and sounded a lot happier last night. Also the squad list will look much better when we get more of the injured players back: even Man City struggle when your best players are out. | | | |

Agree about the injuries and having some or all of Colback, Clarke-Salter, Dembele, Frey and Paal to choose from will make a huge difference. I still don't like the decision to let Williams manage whatever he manages via Zoom from Dubai and again I'll guess that Marti isn't too happy about that either. | | | |

All decisions re recruitment had to consider the finances. IMHO, that's why we couldn't afford Hayden and explains some of the gaps in the squad. Add in so many injuries to key players and we should all understand why we are 23rd.
A bit more experience from the newbies + return of key players and I hope we can stage an uptick like last season. | |

Just to point out there's a WLS article with quotes (in black and white and from the horse's mouth) from Cifuentes where he says:
"I keep repeating, the club needs to understand there are some things that we need to improve as a club that I’ve been saying since the summer and so far we have not improved those areas."
"One win, it’s a step forward, but we need to take many more – and we need help."
Doesn't sound massively like Marti is particularly pleased with the summer recruitment after all. I think from certain definitions that's a clearly supported point and we could start labelling it as a fact!

My experience with Lee Hoos over the years is whether you know him or not, whether you agree with him, or like what he says, or not, he's always very candid and open with QPR fans who want to speak to him. It's why I thought it was a bit of a shame that video coming out a few years ago with the guy on the moped stopping him on the street, abusing him, then putting it on social media when he gave him the bird in return. I find it irritating when told the fans should get behind the players. We do, constantly, for very little reward over many years. We are there, home and away, sometimes barely acknowledged.
Literally the only note of discontent recently has been when Celar was subbed on Saturday. And that was late November, for a £2m+ signing who was not only goalless but showing absolutely nothing.
