Saito 17:57 - Nov 24 with 2123 views | VancouverHoop | Nardi aside, he's surely our most consistent pre-season signing. Game in and game out, whoever the opponent, whatever the weather, or the angst surrounding our club he delivers, usually with a smile on his face. Sure, he's "what it says on the packet" type of winger. Take it to the goal line, trick your way past two or three defenders (that's the hard bit) and cross into the box where, ideally, a couple of strikers will be licking their lips. Unfortunately he can't do too much about the last bit at the moment. Maybe when Frey gets back his build up will show more results.
Saito on 18:05 - Nov 24 with 2068 views | Northernr | I love his attitude. Never drops he levels, never stops running, never gets his head down. Always the first in with encouragement for team mates.

Saito on 18:08 - Nov 24 with 2033 views | ParkRoyalR | Brave in the air (some leap on the lad) and in the tackle, Puts the like of Madsen & Celar to shame, Well, if they had any pride that is.
Saito on 18:10 - Nov 24 with 2017 views | aston_hoop | One of the only players in our side who actually puts any fear into opposition players. We are so easy to play against generally but he is a big exception to this

Saito on 18:38 - Nov 24 with 1907 views | HammersmithR | And I love the fact he comes and bows to all parts of the ground after every home game. Was a bit odd after the Middlesbrough game when every player was getting grief and quite rightly so after that shambles.
Saito on 19:05 - Nov 24 with 1825 views | stevec | Saito; To be in accord, to be together. Purification. That boy lives up to his name.
Saito on 19:07 - Nov 24 with 1812 views | dmm | I agree with the comments about Saito and I hope we can retain his servives come next season. Our summer recruitment has come under fierce criticism, and understandably so, but in addition to Saito we have others who could well prove to be good 2024 acquisitions namely Nardi, Morrison, Varane, and Dembele.
Saito on 19:11 - Nov 24 with 1787 views | Headington | Agree. Two-footed. Technically very good, and but for 3 or 4 brilliant saves from opposition goalies (Hull and Stoke) would have had a few goals by now. Also, as said, he makes chances for our (sadly non-existent) strikers.
Saito on 19:14 - Nov 24 with 1765 views | baz_qpr | Morrison has done alright when he has been fit, Varane's been ok, Dembele started great. I think Madsen is a decent player (appreciate I'm out on a limb here) if played in the right position with the right people around him. For me Celar and Santos are the really poor ones, but they look particularly poor because of the lack of alternative. Saito I do really like, his leap for the header at the end was extraordinary like a 5ft 4 Les Ferdinand Salmon style leap
Saito on 19:37 - Nov 24 with 1691 views | stevec | This is the oddity. Likewise, I’ve been impressed with Nardi and Morrison from day one. Saito has the ability and adapted to this league in recent months, Varane has come on a bundle since his early displays. Dembele either hasn’t adapted or is just bamboozled by the roles we’ve played him in, that said he has skill and hopefully will improve. Ashby hasn’t been great but shows some improvement recently. Of the others we’ve seen, Celar & Santos have been a disaster and Madsen doesn’t look like getting up to speed. Still, 4 good, 2 who could go either way and 3 who aren’t going to make it, is not that bad a ratio. It’s been unfortunate that all of these nine players have been forced to make the jump into first team action far sooner than we’d ordinarily have wanted.
Saito on 19:40 - Nov 24 with 1675 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | He has that ability to hang in the air when up for a header. Only other player I can remember doing it that well was Paul Parker.
Saito on 20:03 - Nov 24 with 1607 views | QPRConor2000 | Hes been excellent imo. I think we've got the option at the end of his loan to buy him, similar to the Dembele deal.
Saito on 20:06 - Nov 24 with 1546 views | stainrods_elbow | He's been excellent, which also proves that the recruitment team aren't all bad.

Saito on 20:14 - Nov 24 with 1565 views | hoopedmonkey | Or the coaching!
Saito on 20:37 - Nov 24 with 1500 views | VancouverHoop | Respect indeed. He also plays with genuine joy, or appears to. An apparent rarity in today's high-stress footballing environments.
Saito on 21:08 - Nov 24 with 1390 views | stainrods_elbow | Whn Marti plays him as a winger/attacking forward, he flourishes. As a wing back, which he's also tried when needs appeared to must, he's neutered.

Saito on 21:18 - Nov 24 with 1366 views | Paddyhoops | Works his socks off and is getting better . I love Chair but he offers nothing defensively unlike Saito .
Saito on 12:20 - Nov 25 with 894 views | Logman | I thought he was excellent when moved to left wing back (against Cov, I think). Kept with their right winger, put some ferocious tackles in and made some fantastic runs up the left wing too.
Saito on 12:31 - Nov 25 with 812 views | kernowhoop | And Sir Les.
Saito on 12:35 - Nov 25 with 778 views | Rangersw12 | Hopefully with Saito doing well it means Chair will be more central when he comes back

Saito on 14:43 - Nov 25 with 546 views | robith | I think it was pretty telling of the guy that he had to fill in at left back and has probably been the best player we've had there all season. I know our issues are deep rooted and systemic, but it is hard to think we'd be where we are if we had a 433 with Saito, Frey and Dembele all season
Saito on 17:31 - Nov 25 with 351 views | derbyhoop | Mostly fair. If Santos doesn't get better, it's not the end of the world. On the other hand, Celar hasn't looked up to scratch but we're playing him because of lack of alternatives Dembele started well but faded and won't be back before Feb. Morrison has looked decent, when available. Varane and Madsen are getting better, but have a way to go. Similar with Ashby. Saito definitely looks the best of the bunch. So far.

Saito on 17:39 - Nov 25 with 327 views | Mirrorball | I've been impressed with Saito from his first game. Works his socks off, always looks to get the play moving forward and has some good skills. When Chair is back and fit ... Who plays left and who plays right?
