Yep it was a classic Field foul...tho one he maybe thought he'd get away with as Ward had let similar ones go from both teams prior to that.
Most annoying was the pull back on Saito after about 90 seconds, where the non-existent but oft used "can't book 'em that early" law was clearly applied. | |

From the stream, it looked like Marti got booked after a cynical foul by one of their players to stop a breakaway that was right opposite the dugout. This was shortly after Field was rightly booked for a similar offense. Marti would have been pointing out rampant inconsistency to legendary ref Ward. Shows pressure he is feeling though as usually pretty controlled on sideline. | |

Admittedly, it only stated what jtuck thought the caution was for rather than it being fact, but you would need to be the referee or Marti to know the definitive reason. [Post edited 24 Nov 2024 20:23]

I actually think Celar and Madsen aside our recruitment this summer was good. Varane looks better in each game, Nardi, saito and dembele all looked good as does Morrison.
Field is massively overrated and for me has been poor, cook bar one or two games has looked sluggish.
Dunne is what he is one good game one average. Our issue right now is up top and the way we set up.
