My memory of the incident is a bit sketchy but wasn’t the guy lying face down on the floor and in handcuffs at the time? I’m all for police (or anyone else) using whatever force is necessary to protect themselves and to subdue an assailant even if that force is fatal but when a suspect is subdued you can’t just beat the shit out of them, that’s just the sort of petty thuggery you’d see outside a bar on wine street on a Saturday night.
Doubt it a Turkish drug dealer who ran the largest heroin drugs ring in the UK has successfully appealed his deportation after his release from prison. Apparently it is because he would not be safe in Turkey and would be a breach of his human rights under the ECHR. This despite him being a Turkish passport holder who has visited Turkey 8 times since his release from prison.
The original article was text only with a picture, the video has been added in later. The text is very light on what those charged actually did but describes the police actions.
All I’ll say, and I accept your argument, is that I have lass sympathy than yourself maybe. I saw the way they tried to injure the officers and indeed succeeded. That’s enough for me to feel absolutely no sympathy for them.
Difficult to think of any police force that would not have reacted to that level of violence, in France or Italy the assailants would have taken a hammering.
OK thank you. I sometimes wonder about the mentality of some folk on here. The police nan should not have kicked the man for sure but punch a wPC is disgraceful and jail awaits.
A Swansea fan was attacked for celebrating at the CCS and folks on here seem to suggest he got what he deserved.
I shocked people on t other site a while back by admitting to whacking anyone who threatened me ,whilst in plod. I’ve hospitalised a few . On the other hand I’ve been hospitalised myself after a slashing . No police officer should be afraid to defend himself using whateve force is necessary . This is when Professional Standards Nazis step in and Barristers look to go down the excessive force route Getting hurt by a weapon isn’t pleasant . Even now,if someone I feel is about to whack me or my family,I will use whatever force I can to protect . Id rager stay alive and argue the toss
No, I just checked and that is incorrect. The assailant had been put down after attacking police officers and was lying face down, seemingly momentarily stunned. One arm was laying free at his side and a police officer was beginning to bring the other arm behind the back. My reading was that the man could have recovered at any time and a second officer who delivered the kick acted to incapacitate a violent man.

It’s a taught self defence option, in fact any action is considered self defence in any circumstance. The law reviews it and in this case a specialist has advised the CPS. If you can refer to a time when you were under attack and had your superman cape on I’m certain all would be enamoured by your deft skills and better training than the police and the military.
I’ve head butted a man straight though his nut causing a loss of five teeth, fractured jaw and at no point was even considered a coward, or useless. I have many other to talk about as well. My latest book is reference. You don’t seem to have any experience just a blatant disregard for the police in any given situation. And that tells me you haven’t ever been in any situation where you too wouldn’t have resorted to what you describe as cowardly, but the law of this land states clealry is acceptable.
Walk a mile I find is always best.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.
