Enough 12:09 - Nov 10 with 6155 views | dixiefrog | It pains me to say this, but despite supporting and attending Saints games my entire life, I have had enough. For me I feel it’s time to make a stand and do something with the SR Board will listen to, they seem impervious to anything the fans say and are plainly not listening. So words haven’t worked, maybe action will. To all the Uglies and Saints fans I call for a boycott of the Liverpool game, maybe a few thousand empty seats will show the Board that we’ve stomached the current coaching team enough and it’s time for a change. Now I don’t expect them to listen, but assuming they don’t I’ll not go to the one after or any until the Board acts. Despite the debacle on the pitch I still don’t think it’s too late for us to get ourselves out of the sh1t, we do however need a proven manager who will steady the ship and have us prepared for whichever league we end up in next year. So unless the Board see sense and remove the current coaching staff before the Liverpool game, then demonstrate your belief in the club and stay home.

Enough on 12:59 - Nov 10 with 3237 views | MytchettSaint | People not going is what did for Branfoot all those years ago. I went to the game on New Year’s Day against Norwich that season and said I’d not go back until he was gone (probably like a lot of others) I’m not so sure that will work at the moment given how many season ticket holders there are (myself included) that have paid their money in advance. Perhaps the fan-zones empty, people boycotting cup games might make them think a bit. I don’t blame RM, he was an average manager at Swansea and MK Dons. I don’t blame the players. They’re not good enough. Sports Republic need to come out and say what the long term goal is here. It doesn’t look like we are building anything for the future, I don’t see their current strategy working. There has been investment, but instead of it being spent on quality rather than quantity their record of ownership in the premier league must be the worst ever.

Enough on 13:05 - Nov 10 with 3221 views | saintmark1976 | dixiefrog, doesn’t it occur to you that your wishes and those of Sports Republic are diametrically opposite ? You and thousands of others ( including myself ) want to support a team which is competitive in the Premiership season after season. Sports Republic don’t have the financial or management ability to achieve what we want, hence our being relegated two seasons ago together with our current league position. All current evidence suggests that Sports Republic are quite happy with us as a Championship to Premiership yo-yo club with a second string in Turkey. Admirable though your suggestion is, Sports Republic aren’t going to change simply because they don’t want to. I’m afraid it’s time to face facts. We are already relegated and there is nothing Russell Martin or any other manager can do about it. By all means boycott games if you wish, unfortunately it won’t make any difference whatsoever.

Enough on 13:05 - Nov 10 with 3218 views | kingolaf | There is zero chance of me renewing my season ticket if the club persevere with this ridiculous style of football and continue to employ a manager so deluded he makes Nathan Jones sound normal.
Enough on 13:08 - Nov 10 with 3202 views | Bazza | That’s it for me too. Ridiculous futile playing style defended by egotistical smug manager, no thanks. Never thought I say this after 50 years through think and thin. It’s insulting to loyal supporters.
Enough on 13:18 - Nov 10 with 3172 views | TripleNiemi | For me, SR ‘are’ the problem. Regardless of Rylan’s capability, the quality of the playing staff etc. etc., they are the ones in charge and capable of changing things. Rasmus and Russ should share a taxi out of St. Mary’s.

Enough on 13:30 - Nov 10 with 3143 views | Ifonly | No. Sports Republic do have the financial ability to compete in the PL. If the likes of Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Palace, Wolves etc can do it then so can we. They have no more financial strength than we do. The problem is their poor decision making on football matters. That is down to Ankersen, head of football strategy. The ridiculous decision to copy Man City and try to play possession football is the root cause of our problems. That decision is a long term disaster for SFC so the sooner we change that and get rid of both RM and Ankersen, the sooner we are on the road to recovery. But even though the board haven't got a clue about football, even they aren't stupid enough to see a future in being a yo-yo club. No club is a yo-yo for more than a couple of seasons. They either settle as a PL club or are cast adrift and end up in long term decline.
Enough on 13:34 - Nov 10 with 3128 views | dixiefrog | Everyone has an opinion and you’re both welcome to yours and it’s valid, however all this guff about SR not having the money to compete doesn’t wash. Look at the current EPL table and half of the current top ten are smaller ‘unfashionable’ clubs all punching about their weight and doing so on modest budgets. The difference as you rightly say is the inability of the management to manage, a lack of desire and a disrespect of a very loyal fan base. The Liverpool game is a dead rubber which we’re bound to lose, not because of the ability or desire of the players but because they are put out with a handicap before they even kick the first ball. If the current management team persists then the Liverpool game is a no for me and any following game until the fans are respected.

Enough on 13:52 - Nov 10 with 3081 views | saintmark1976 | Simply question Ifonly :- If as you suggest, Sports Republic do have the financial ability then why haven’t they already dispensed with the services of Ankerson and Martin? After all, if you and many others can see the problem why have Sports Republic fallen short so far ? Could it be that they are quite happy and don’t want to change our current situation or our direction of travel back to The Championship ? [Post edited 10 Nov 13:55]

Enough on 14:12 - Nov 10 with 3041 views | BLEEDRED | Unfortunately, a boycott will not work 24000 Season Tickets, 3000 away fans, Hospitably etc. just leaves a couple of thousand day trippers and if everyone one of those boycotted games it would not many the slighted dent in the club's finances. I don't blame the players, we sigh players and then expect them to play in positions they are not familiar with or not to their strengths. Perhaps call out the board before/during/after games. The Liverpool cup game is ideal game to organise protests, banners etc.

Enough on 14:18 - Nov 10 with 3016 views | Ifonly | - They haven't dispensed with Ankersen because he is a part owner. Getting rid of him or sidelining him will be complex. - They haven't dispensed with Martin because Ankersen is still there to support him and it seems Dragan is not yet ready to fight Ankersen. - No, it could not be that they are happy with the situation. That would be ridiculous. Who on earth would be happy to waste hundreds of millions of £? They are where they are because Dragan made the mistake of trusting Ankersen with decisions on how to spend the money and Ankersen isn't up to the job.
Enough on 14:22 - Nov 10 with 2995 views | Southamptonfan | Totally agree with this. The manager is a side show. Managers come and go, players come and go. But these owners and board have created a sh!t show. They came in, and appointed two terrible manager after Ralph and we went down. We came back up last season, yes but now we are going down again. We haven't invested in the players we need to survive. There isn't any ambition. There isn't any desire to give is a progressive, decent team. I have wanted them out for a long time. Sack the board.

Enough on 14:41 - Nov 10 with 2944 views | dixiefrog | I agree that a boycott wouldn’t hurt the SR finances, but rows and rows of empty seats would stoke-up the media and begin to put pressure on the board. The general consensus among the fans is that the board have created a ‘sh1t show’ of a situation, I maybe just one lowly season ticket holder, but my empty seat and maybe a few thousand more, just might bring more press coverage and make the padded leather boardroom seats a little less comfortable.

Enough on 18:11 - Nov 10 with 2369 views | Berber | I made the decision last season, as I didn’t want to watch us playing tippy tippy against second rate teams. I didn’t renew again this season, because our football is a joke and unprofessional. The majority of pundits and tens of thousands of (previously) enthusiastic fans are not wrong. The only way is to walk away until a viable approach is implemented.

Enough on 18:19 - Nov 10 with 2340 views | robcoe5 | Better option than boycotting would be to protest before the game at the Ted Bates statue just as the players enter the ground Maybe they will then think about not backing the manager, as they keep doing in the news
Enough on 18:24 - Nov 10 with 2321 views | Bridders2 | Well just appeal to the 24000 season ticket holders to boycott one game, and let them play to just 3000 away fans in an empty stadium. One game won't hurt season ticket holders and it will really hit home with Dragan and the management. With social media mass protests are easy to organise.
Enough on 18:31 - Nov 10 with 2299 views | MytchettSaint | Two seasons ago I did let it get to me. This season I was expecting us to get humped regularly so I knew what I was getting into. It’s weird as the crowd haven’t turned on him yet so it’s not as toxic as it was under Ralph/Jones/Selles, but equally as bad if not worse than then. Strange really. [Post edited 10 Nov 18:32]

Enough on 18:50 - Nov 10 with 2236 views | dixiefrog | I agree one game (hopefully) won’t hurt, and it would send a really strong message that the true fan is fed up to the back teeth with the position the board has placed our club. Lets spread the word about a boycott of the game and it might push the board into some action. You could also take the missus Christmas shopping instead and score some brownie points into the bargain.

Enough on 18:54 - Nov 10 with 2227 views | saintmark1976 | So you appear to be suggesting on the one hand that Dragan has the money to fund a successful Premiership team but on the other hand he can’t sack an underperforming minority share holder ( Ankerson ) or the club coach ( Martin ) because it’s too “ complex”. If nothing else an interesting theory. As I’ve previously suggested in my opinion our current problems emulate from one or even both of :- A) Dragan and the Club generally are plotless. B ) Dragan and the Club generally are quite happy at our current direction of travel which is back to The Championship. Pays your money and takes your choice comes to mind.
