I regularly wander the web watching non league fixtures, for little or no reason I'll stop for a looksee. Today it was Newcastle Town v Bootle, the Newcastle as in under Lyme (Stoke really).
What grabbed my attention was the bike track / velodrome, I had no idea this existed. Anyone ever attended, ridden their boneshaker around it?
Venezia. Would love to visit. Wedged in among houses, docks, yachts and what looks like a theatre of some sort. Snug as a bug in a rug. An actual lagoon only metres away and the Adriatic in the distance.
I'm not sure I'd even look at the match.
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
Behind one end, there was a wall very close to the goal, so close that the East Stirling players would be hovering waiting to pounce on the inevitable underhit goal kicks.
Brechin City's Glebe Park, the marvellous ground which has a hedge running down one side.

Edit...just the 'gesturing' you filthy minded sods.
"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime." (Mark Twain)

Cacran, who play in the Slovakian 6th division, have a fully operational train service running pitch side. Supporters view is often blocked by a train going past. Sorry just seen earlier post. Blame the injections I'm having in my eye at moment.
