The club has 6 strikers with two young prospects Josh Thomas and Kyrell Wilson. Josh is not playing for Bromley and is highly rated by club insiders but not Williams or Bromley it seems. He has been listed in the Wales u21 team above Joe Taylor of Luton.

Williams talked about the academy but presumably looking for a striker off the unemployment list who is better than Wilson and Thomas and the loan boys Kukharevych and Yates.

I assume he is looking for a striker. An experienced one like an Andre Ayew type figure might be on the menu.

Iā€™m assuming heā€™s looking at a player who is first of all well, not injured, and ready . The way we play ,he could easily get up to speed soon enough .

Non contract players are just that for a reason remember Bolasie, fantastic first match and downhill after that. Plus they normally want more money than they are worth. Hopefully I will be proved wrong.

Neither Yates or Kukharevych are tearing up trees at their loan clubs and Williams knows what they are capable of and possibly thinks they dont fit otherwise surely theybwould still be here?
Re rhe youngsters maybe at this stahe its too big a jump to the Championship to be leading the line.
We need a striker or a winger to hit the ground semi running with experience at this level.....

Hates hasnā€™t scored this season, in fact he scored in a pre season friended about fifteen games ago, and thatā€™s his lot.

No doubt at all heā€™d have wanted to keep one of them, probably Yates, if he realised weā€™d be this inept at bringing in strikers.

Going to be very difficult for anyone whoā€™s been without a club since the end of last season to hit the ground running. The out of contract market should be a last gasp resort for when you get a couple of injuries to key players. We shouldnā€™t be shopping innit purely due to our own inadequacy.

Yates has scored 50 goals over the last three seasons. One in league 1 and two in the Championship. He has a value as a goal poacher. Williams already has six forwards has three he sent out on loan Williams on loan and Vipotnik misfiring. All play as lone strikers and apart from Kuharevych are not strong enough. This applies to Yates and Cullen too.

Perhaps the problem is Williams not Yates who was often arm wrestling with bruisers which is not his game. Piroe played best with Cullen.

Not having Yates here isnā€™t the problem, not replacing him is.

Plus the player that made Piroe tick was Patterson, their link up play was exceptional and when Patterson wasn't playing Piroe was half the player.

The player is presumably being looked at in training at Fairwood this week. If he was a well known UK player he would have been spotted one would think. Someone like a Martin Waghorn or Dwight Gayle.

It's "Who" is looking at him that worries me, hope it's not the same ones that looked at Yates, Vipotnik and Peart Harris, to name but a few.

I think the word looking at is a bit of a misguided one in this case. Another thing to throw at Williams though šŸ˜

I think it's being done so he can have a look at us and hope the lads around the place during the international break can make an impression.

Our record with players available in the summer was decent, I donā€™t care what anyone says about Paul Watson. Ruben Providence will be the most mysterious player on trial with the Swans who was actually at another club.

The link with providence was through Watson for sure, I don't know the guys name but friendly with both Watson and Sheehan and was also the one behind the Myles Peart Harris signing.

There is a lot of money to be made off players and this is my concern at present.

Samuel Kalu is one on the list, not sure if he is the one coming in to train today though.

Might have been one they were looking at but didn't become a free agent until September so can't sign until January šŸ™ˆšŸ˜¬šŸ˜‚
