He's the only midfielder we have who takes players on and tries to run into the box, (apart from Dibling). He quite often gets dispossessed though which is why RM doesn’t want him, but he causes mayhem when he gets on the ball and creates panic in the oppos defence.

This is one way that I think possession football is so misguided. RM doesn't want players to risk losing the ball in the way that Charly does in the opposition half, but he's quite happy when we play tippy tappy around our own box, taking enormous risks in the process. Word on Saints Web is that Victor Hugo will indeed be going to Goztepe for the season.
And this sounds like a way of getting round FFP.
So we lose a potentially key player and have little to show for it this season.

A wasted opportunity. Flamengo have got a couple of players who'd be really good for us, but Victor Hugo isn't one of them.

I’m sad to see him go but he just didn’t fit in. He wanted to attack and get on with it. I think he will do well for them.
