Ruben Providence 17:44 - Aug 3 with 22897 views | KeithHaynes | Didn’t get much of a game but looked lively. I reckon we will snap him up.

Ruben Providence on 18:10 - Aug 4 with 2974 views | builthjack | There lies the problem. That extra couple of seconds needed. It usually cocks a flowing move up. Grimes passes to the left wing a lot more than he does to the right wing. In fact he usually passes back so the man behind sprays it to the right.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Ruben Providence on 18:16 - Aug 4 with 2943 views | RichardO | It gave Grimes the different options shoot first time or let it cross him, the defender expected the first time shot, we have been guilty of slow passing on the edge of the box, nice pass as well by Josh Thomas after the defender made the mistake and the quick passing changed the points of attack causing gaps to open up.
Ruben Providence on 18:19 - Aug 4 with 2921 views | jack247 | Didn’t mean to turn this thread into a character assassination on Grimes. Point I tried to make was Providence probably wouldn’t have known things like that which makes his performance more impressive.
Ruben Providence on 14:09 - Aug 5 with 2505 views | Fireboy2 | Both us and Oxford have offered him terms.
Ruben Providence on 14:15 - Aug 5 with 2467 views | Whiterockin | He's ours then, Oxford should have cut a deal when he was there.
Ruben Providence on 14:56 - Aug 5 with 2323 views | Whiterockin | "Swansea and Oxford are now keen to follow up on their interest by making formal offers to his Austrian club, TSV Hartberg." So he wasn't a free agent on trial, we have to pay a fee????
Ruben Providence on 15:01 - Aug 5 with 2302 views | RichardO | Same scenario us getting money for 23year old Latibeaudie?
Ruben Providence on 16:29 - Aug 5 with 2142 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Hopefully the fee will be minor less than £500k and any deal would be assessed taking into account his wages demands. The club would not want to pay a fee and big wages for a one year deal. A loan to a buy could be an option. The Austrians would probably not favour this.

Ruben Providence on 19:33 - Aug 5 with 1828 views | union_jack | I’m not sure why you are so confident of that happening. I think Oxford woukd pay the same as we do and he’d be a main player possibly for them rather than a squad player for us? However, he may present an opportunity to capitalise on if we bring him on. What do I know?😁

Ruben Providence on 19:34 - Aug 5 with 1823 views | Fireboy2 | Very Interesting Keef, if he is still with us for another 2 days then we might be serious about him.
Ruben Providence on 19:36 - Aug 5 with 1791 views | Whiterockin | With him here and not there, plus we made him an offer while he is with us rather than afterthought was my thinking. Now there is a fee involved I'm not so sure.
Ruben Providence on 20:22 - Aug 5 with 1720 views | raynor94 | Surely we can't lose out to Oxford over this one
| |
Ruben Providence on 20:27 - Aug 5 with 1698 views | Whiterockin | I would guess its how much we want him and what the fee is.
Ruben Providence on 20:46 - Aug 5 with 1632 views | KeithHaynes | He’s seen the facilities and training methods at both clubs. That will have a big influence on him. His salary is rumoured at €2,900 (euro) a week. Now it seems there’s a transfer fee ( I think it will be take on his contract for the remainder of the two years that allegedly he has left) and up it by whatever they agree salary wise. His advisors aren’t daft, they will tell him there’s far more opportunity at Swansea than Oxford. Not only to move on to better things but to play for what is a bigger club.

Ruben Providence on 21:08 - Aug 5 with 1571 views | sons_of_omri | We’d at least be able to guarantee him a second season at Championship level if not even better. Oxford might survive but it will be tough for them.
Ruben Providence on 21:11 - Aug 5 with 1567 views | onehunglow | Oxford Utd or Swansea City? Dear God. No comparison Like co paring Solihull Moors and Man City

Ruben Providence on 21:19 - Aug 5 with 1547 views | sons_of_omri | Maybe the board want more provenance with Providence ??
Ruben Providence on 21:22 - Aug 5 with 1516 views | union_jack | Chaps, we are sounding a bit ‘up ourselves’ on this thread. Ever heard of hubris? He could be guaranteed more starting XI football with Oxford. I’d not be too confident about this but I would be disappointed in Saturday’s showing.

Ruben Providence on 21:50 - Aug 5 with 1426 views | vetchonian | Not according to certain posters on here we are certs for relegation
| |
Ruben Providence on 22:11 - Aug 5 with 1353 views | sons_of_omri | I think our transfer activity is far better than last year, we’ve shipped some deadwood and apparently more good players incoming. We’ll not be relegated, lady Hamilton is a Virgin poke my eye out and cut off my arm off if I’m wrong. Yours, Horatio Nelson
Ruben Providence on 22:15 - Aug 5 with 1343 views | vetchonian | I agree but there are others who wouldn't

Ruben Providence on 23:05 - Aug 5 with 1247 views | RichardO | Transfer window has a while to go before it closes, who to say we won't see one or two squad players who have gained valuable Championship experience leaving thinking they will not be first choice and will want more first team starts. The team and substitutions against Rio in the friendly functioned quite well over the 90 minutes if you excuse the ten minutes of over confidence, thinking the opposition at the start of the second half would not come out fighting and even giving them the boxing gloves to do so.We have seen it too often, let's slow the game down. No! Crank up the pressure at the start of each half. Until the season starts and new player are up to speed and injured players are back we won't know who William's will pick because at some point players are going to be disappointed they are not first choice. If we are winning games there can be no complaints but if we are losing games and players are not first choice things might turn sour very quickly.
Ruben Providence on 09:29 - Aug 6 with 1010 views | Fireboy2 | Oh yeah baby we are in a better place than last year aren't we🙄 Our starting 11 on Saturday shows we are on our arse, we have cullen as our no1 striker with an untried Slovenian (who will probably come good🤞) and a youngster from the u21s, we have no cover in midfield because we have 3 players out injured, no cover for centre half unless you count pedersen who williams didn't fancy, we only have naughton to cover at full back as it's the same with tjoe and finally we have 2 youngsters vying for the goalkeeper spot on the bench. We only have 4 players who out injured who are counted as squad players so if people think we are in a better place than last year then they are deluded, the only hope we have is if williams can get a tune out of the youngsters 🙏 Fwiw I am really looking forward to going to boro on Saturday, meeting a few jacks I know, having a few beers and shouting the boys on COYJB 🦢 [Post edited 6 Aug 2024 9:35]
