Eastleigh Game Matchday Thread on 21:53 - Jul 19 with 2303 views | solent_toffee | Was Llallana playing? I think he must have pulled out before kick off because I couldn’t see him on the pitch. An enjoyable game. Saints right winger had a field day. I felt sorry for Trialiat A who got his arse handed to him on a plate. He probably got an Uber straight to the station after getting hooked at HT.
Eastleigh Game Matchday Thread on 22:43 - Jul 19 with 2198 views | Southamptonfan | Lallana was warming up on the pitch but didn't play any part in the game as far as I am aware. If he did play any part, I also didn't notice him or see him! I heard he felt his muscle go and he didn't play as a precaution. I thought Sugawara looked real quality when he came on. An easy game for Saints, completely dominated, as you would expect. No sign of Walker-Peters, Adams or Ross Stewart. I thought it was a great evening. The Saints players and Russell Martin were excellent with the fans. All very happy to go to the side of the pitch and take photos and sign autographs. In the car park, after the game, Jack Stephens was an absolute example of how a professional football player should act. He was super friendly and approachable before he eventually got in his car. Top man in my opinion.

Eastleigh Game Matchday Thread on 01:20 - Jul 20 with 2066 views | LondonSaint76 | Solent Toffee & Southamptonfan - oops, I didn’t include the late change to the 1st half line up, Dibling replaced Lallana after the warm up. Great evening and as you say so good to see players interacting with the supporters without making it look like a chore. Tonight reminded me of the pre-season we did down in Devon & Cornwall back in the Shearer & Le Tiss days. We played Exeter, Plymouth then Torpoint Athletic on a Saturday evening then another non-League team midweek. I remember there was a large grass bank behind one goal, actually more like a hill, which was populated mainly by holidaymakers with an interest in football. Never seen such a variety of different replica shirts represented in one place. Afterwards they had a big barbecue outside the clubhouse attended by the travelling Saints fans plus supporters from many different clubs. Great evening and a great week in Cornwall. Like earlier, loads of the 1st team played in the games. Happy memories… [Post edited 20 Jul 1:22]

Eastleigh Game Matchday Thread on 07:31 - Jul 20 with 1945 views | 1teeminants | An enjoyable evening in the sunshine watching a decent Saints team who completely dominated. I was surprised saints put out such a strong team because I’ve been to a few of these games over the years and they don’t usually go that strong. Stand out players for me Amo Ayew , Alcaraz ( great to see him back ) Sugawara and Armstrong .

Eastleigh Game Matchday Thread on 08:59 - Jul 20 with 1835 views | PatfromPoole | Just watched the goals on the Saints app. I hadn’t realised the back of the kit doesn’t have stripes on it; looks ridiculous. Mara’s hair looks like it was glued to his head.
