Asthma... on 20:31 - May 8 with 1959 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Yep. Animal fur, you name it, I'll sneeze and have an asthma attack. Also, weirdly, my weight. I have to stay slim else I struggle with the asthma. And thunderstorms set it off! Just fcking weird our bodies.

Asthma... on 20:40 - May 8 with 1931 views | ted_hendrix | I was registered Asthmatic a few years ago, I'm on a repeat prescription 2X Inhalations of Fostair Beclometasone morning and 2X at night. I also have to carry with me morning noon and night a Salamol Salbutamol 100 micrograms Inhaler as a backup, I cut the grass today and I needed It. My attacks are now thankfully manageable although I would (and did) struggle to walk to LR after parking near the Crown and Sceptre as an example. I suffer attacks mainly In damp and rainy weather If I'm out In It. The attacks are not uniform though as an example every night when I get a shower as a rule three times a week I'll have an attack when I get out of the shower which Is daft, basically the biggest problem for me is atmosphere change. I love me garden but pollen Is a bastard as Is the wind blowing for obvious reasons, first thing we done when we bought this house was plant two big trees!!! Vitamin D Is a great help so I'm told. Asthma... on 23:04 - May 8 with 1723 views | StanFan | It has eased with age in my case, thankfully. Interested to hear that stormy weather is a trigger for several of you. That has always been a bad one for me too but I thought I was in a tiny minority.

Asthma... on 06:54 - May 9 with 1604 views | MelakaRanger | Suffering the most terrible hayfever in my teens I was told by my Doctor that people grew out of hayfever by their 40s. Yeah right! My only respite was when in my early 40s my doctor gave me a Kenalog injection in my backside. It worked. And for the next 3 years I had the injection in early April and hayfever was a thing of the past. I then moved abroad for 10 years and hardly had any hayfever at all. Then back to the UK and the birch and beech pollen plus cats and dogs and grass started it all up again. But now the NHS will not give you Kenalog! So now its the trustly Lidl tablets which seem to work :) Kenalog was the answer! [Post edited 9 May 6:55]

Asthma... on 09:26 - May 9 with 1544 views | Phildo | The main trigger for me is atmospheric change - cold to hot or hot to cold , damp etc. I was plagued with almost annual bouts of pneumonia as a result. I decided to pay to see a chest specialist who upped my asthma meds which sorted it out and now it is very well controlled. He told me GPs always under-prescribe asthma meds so my advice is try and see a specialist if you can.
