I watched the ending of the sad incident when a child was killed recently by a machete wielding oxygen thief , the bravery of the police when confronting him has to be applauded , I believe 3 were women officers unarmed without even a taser and yet we have another comment from the the resident forum idiot who thinks he's big and hard enough to bring down someone in similar situation , I recall a post of his awhile back where he admitted cowering behind his settee during a fracas hence my contempt. | |

I believe the public has got used to police being armed especially in London where they're clearly visible ,whether that's a deterrent I really couldn't say but it could reduce casualties if deployed sensibly. | |
