Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 06:54 - Mar 14 with 7945 views | PlanetHonneywood | Another clown. I'd wager Bernie Madoff would pass the fit and proper person test.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 07:31 - Mar 14 with 7837 views | Landshark | I mean, you can hardly blame Wycombe. A 5 year old £50 million training complex 30 minutes from where you play, for a fraction of the price it would cost to build yourself.
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 08:05 - Mar 14 with 7735 views | Northernr | I guess. Shouldn't be allowed should it. I've no time for Reading but one mental twt has sold their stadium, their training ground, and run the whole place into the ground, and nobody can or will step in and take the keys off him.
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:01 - Mar 14 with 7523 views | BrianMcCarthy | It's bad form. It just is. Like buying players off a club in admin. Like managers negotiating with clubs while they have a manager in place. It's bad form. It just is.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:16 - Mar 14 with 7450 views | Blue_Castello | To be honest all the years we have been competing against Reading in the Championship I couldn't stand them, the whole competition of who wore the Blue and White Hoops first got tedious, they never wear a proper shirt anyway and then hordes of kids turning up to act like some sort of mob. That said I feel sorry for them now, no club should have to go through the shit that Dai Yonge has put them through, where the F is the fit and proper test which the Football Lesgue are supposed to carry out, the Football League is responsible for this mess, they should have much tighter controls over who is allowed to purchase a club and how they are allowed to control the clubs assets. Sorry Ted I know how much you despise them for all the crap they put you through when building the stadium but there must be thousands of decent fans out there having their club ripped apart. Note for anyone who isn't sure this is what real shit owners are like, this could be QPR if Ruben didn't keep pumping the money in and yes I've read years of posts about our financial disaster once we achieved Premiership status, that's the tenure of Fernandes, Beard, Hughesless and Redcrap for you.....

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:23 - Mar 14 with 7412 views | Northernr | Having stood next to that fcking creche they stick next to the away end givi9ng it the biggun in their matching black outfits... I could probably stand to see them go another division or three.
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:34 - Mar 14 with 7338 views | QPR_John | As far as I understand it Wycombe did not jump in when they heard the training ground was up for sale it was offered to them. It they did not buy it somebody else would.
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:37 - Mar 14 with 7322 views | Blue_Castello | Yeah I know what you mean they are as irritating as Feck....... , that said there's thousands of genuine fans who don't deserve to see their club dismantled by yet another owner who thought he could mistakenly make money from a football club in the Championship, it's possible yes but it's like going to a casino and putting all your money on black, it's a gamble.
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:41 - Mar 14 with 7276 views | stevec | In an ideal world I’d agree. What Reading seem to have here is an owner who has decided he wants his money back. When you think about it, in any other business, if the owner didn’t at least want his money back we’d all be thinking he’s lost his marbles. It’s always interesting in these discussions that nobody pins the blame on greedy players. I know the stock answer is always ‘well, it’s the owners faults for paying them too much’ but in reality we create the ‘going rate’ by our perpetual demands on owners to spend money and then some more. Like any business, when supply is short (players) and demand is off the scale high (supporters) then the going rate is what gets you to the top of the league rather than the bottom. I feel for Reading supporters, but the games gone stupid and nobody puts a stop to it. It’s an indictment on the people in the sport that player power and fan power has led to a situation where the only hope is for government to step in and regulate it. And given how incompetent the government are it’s inexcusable that football has got itself into this position.
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:45 - Mar 14 with 7248 views | Antti_Heinola | Can't really blame Wycombe. Can't bear Reading, but in 15 years they'll be the next Luton.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 09:52 - Mar 14 with 7215 views | ted_hendrix | Not long before I retired I was in our office talking to our head Estimator, as a large Construction Company we were heavily involved with pricing the new training ground having built their on site hotel and their new Media Suite. Our Estimator who was bloody good at his job was pulling his hair out with frustration as any time hard pre contract negotiation 'Issues' arose and were settled/agreed, they would then reappear again causing more and unnecessary work. Shortly after retiring I found out that we had pulled out of the tendering stage and left them to It. As I have said before these were dreadful people to deal with. they'll get no sympathy from me.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 11:07 - Mar 14 with 6890 views | loftboy | At least most Reading fans have a second team to turn to! When I grew up 70’s/80’s in Bracknell I knew two Reading fans, by the mid 90’s there were loads, funny thing is when they say the support Reading you just reply “and” I can guarantee a high percentage will say one of the big six but use the excuse of not being able to get tickets.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 11:12 - Mar 14 with 6866 views | Northernr | Last time we were there a genuine conversation at the table of Reading shirts next to ours in the boozer was over whether they were going to miss kick off so they could finish watching Man Utd on the TV.

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 12:23 - Mar 14 with 6574 views | aston_hoop | Seems to be a feeling around Reading fans that this could literally be it. For all the tlk of mystery investors and the like, they've sold off the one good thing they have and the owner has likely pocketed the money. AFC Reading in the near future for them sadly a very real possibility now, more so than ever

Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 12:24 - Mar 14 with 6569 views | Northernr | Presumably wouldn't have to play in that stadium any more though, so every cloud...
Reading sell training ground to Wycombe Wanderers on 12:36 - Mar 14 with 6505 views | kensalriser | There is a way to deal with asset stripping, it would involve the league and/or FA working with local authorities to require that key assets (ie grounds and training grounds) be protected by trusts and listed as assets of community value. It is part of the greater societal problem in this country that's seen good and competent governance across the board, in both public and private sectors, go to shit while spivs, chancers and sharks move in to take advantage.
