Good result, although we aren't where we want to be yet. Placheta showed more promise than I was expecting. Ronald, who most see as our main threat, disappointed me today. He does show for the ball and gain territory down the wings, which are big pluses. On the other hand his end product leaves a lot to be desired. His crosses weren't always up to scratch, and I thought he made a meal of the one reasonable chance he had. His effectiveness seemed to fade as the game went on. | | | |

There is no way on the showing so far that he is going to be a £5m player. His pace was good but it was near as damn it matched by the LB/CD at times.
