Hull City v Swansea City : Match day thread 22:06 - Feb 6 with 10706 viewsModeratorC

Liam Rosenior with a glitzy transfer window behind him has seen his side win the last two league games. This after a poor run and much concern amongst a certain section of the Tigers support. Well, as it happens the Swans will be in town and they are desperate to arrest what has been a disappointing start to Luke Williams tenure.

It’s the Tigers v the Swans at the MKM stadium, not quite on the banks of the Humber as that would be a silly place to build a football stadium.

Grimes was excellent today, as was Naughton.

Excellent result. Total dominance. Bit hairy into ET but we defended as a team well all afternoon.

Ronald has some potential. Needs time to adjust but I’ve seen enough to know he’ll be a big asset.

Thought Baughton deserves a mention as well. Good experience.

Hull were clueless and that was down to us.

Keep it up.

Totally agree , an old head at the back showed today. Grimes showing there's more to his locker

Great win away to a play off chasing side
Well done Luke and the lads some nice football played by us today let's hope Naughts injury is not too bad.
Another tough game on Tuesday with a hat full of explayers to score against us but we must believe we look so much better with the pace now added and Lukes style.....wonder how the doom mongers and naysayers are tonight.
That said swallow and summers but we must believe and trust in Luke.

Good result, although we aren't where we want to be yet. Placheta showed more promise than I was expecting. Ronald, who most see as our main threat, disappointed me today. He does show for the ball and gain territory down the wings, which are big pluses. On the other hand his end product leaves a lot to be desired. His crosses weren't always up to scratch, and I thought he made a meal of the one reasonable chance he had. His effectiveness seemed to fade as the game went on.

Not interested in how we get points at this point, just need as many as possible, Ronald yet again is a class above and will no doubt be sold for 10/15m in the summer
Thought Grimes and Paterson played well but Fulton and Grimes does NOT work, never has and never will
Tymon is growing on me massively as well
This isn't over by any means

Relief is putting it mildly. Well done Luke Williams & the boys, hard fought deserved victory. Hopefully this is the turning point for us, it has start somewhere … puts us in a better place going into next 3 tough fixtures with some confidence

Nice to see a proper defensive shape and challenging for the ball giving opposition players very little time on the ball, early days for the wingers but it does make a difference having them as a threat.

Agreed
Miles better.
Much better to view
No faffing at the back
A converted chance
Sone decent efforts at goal and
PACE
The Pole looks a good .
Ronald will score eventually.
I’m more pleased with the performance, attitude and tactics than anything else
And Naughton had a very sound game indeed

All in all,great

And Wales winning at half time

Naughten did well, as did Fulton, but Grimes was poor

It wasn't just a win it was the style of play, the positivity and especially players like Grimes showing their mettle.
Excellent performance and well deserved win.

Fulton did okay but Grimes was 100x better than he normally is.
He may have misplaced the odd pass but overall we were better for him being more positive in his play

The majority owners will see five million too hard to resist.
Liam states there were sixteen scouts there today, more than he has ever seen.

There is no way on the showing so far that he is going to be a £5m player. His pace was good but it was near as damn it matched by the LB/CD at times.

He needs to find his feet then we’ll know more.
