RIP Charity Park Rangers? 05:55 - Feb 4 with 2295 viewsHooparoo

With Blackburn so out of form we would normally have been expecting to be the whipping boys who let them break their losing streak. Instead, we’ve broken a 25 year hoodoo and hopefully killed off Charity Park Rangers for good. We really are turning a corner under Marti and are starting to show some guts and mental strength. About bloody time

Probably pushing it a bit too far on killing off Charity Park Rangers for good, but the signs are good. Beating Blackburn and Preston so far this season has started to shake off our aversion to winning games up in Lancashire and the North West at last. Just need to get the home form going and we could start to get out of the mess we have been in for the last year. Like Marti's new signings might be the catalyst for change at last.

can't help but feel we wasted a lot of time and money with Beale the mole-snake king, Critchley the most boring bloke in the UK and Ainsworth (great player not a boss rock n roller).

Why couldn't they just get Marti in like they had planned.... even if it meant breaching his contract abroad.... Just seems like a catalogue of errors not getting him in earlier.

With Marti at the fore, I have even started to like Puffa jackets.

We couldn't get Marti a year ago because we couldn't afford to pay compensation to Hammarby.
He was high on the list before we went for Beale.

Jumping the gun a bit here. Well all know our biggest problem is backing up a good performance with another one in the next game. If we go on form, we'll be dog shit in our next match.

There is no way we have ditched our charity status having seen the Wednesday and Cardiff defeats recently. I agree that in recent visits we have won at Burnley, Preston and Blackburn, a part of the country we usually fail in but the key to it is playing there regularly and winning like Blackburn and Preston often do at our place. We did finally win at Forest but didn't add any further wins at their place. One offs are OK but we need to come away with less defeats to bogey sides like Blackburn, Norwich and Huddersfield.

Maybe we won at Blackburn because Northern is on holiday who knows? Don't forget earlier in the season Blackburn had lost five in a row and still they whacked us 4-0. Things may seem better under Marti but then again we lost to Watford with two crackers from a player not noted for scoring which is the sort of charitable hand out we do.

Stoke and Rotherham in the next few weeks, both dreadful teams, both huge games that can take us out of the mire. Get to March with 6 points from those and I'll believe and hoodoo can be removed

Things are better under Marti, the data prove it.

20 points from 16 games as opposed to 8 points from 14.

Form over the last 4/6/8/10/12 games ranges from 8th to 20th, ie consistently outside the bottom three.

If we continue at Marti's current level we have a good chance of staying up on 48 points. Even a small marginal improvement makes it much more likely than not.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Yep, this 100%.

Still those two CPR banana skins to avoid.
