bournemouth role call 17:44 - Jan 3 with 13890 viewsqpr_1968

just had a look at tickets available...my god, unless there is a sudden surge to buy them, can't see more than 6,000 qpr turning up.
thats with the whole ground open.
mind you, if bournemouth bring 3,000, 9,000 looks a decent crowd......under the circumstances.

got block near enough to meself at the moment.

My cousin just told me we'd sold 509 tickets for this. That can't be right, we've got six of them!

We haven't sold many looking at the ticket map, but it's more than that.

This is what I was going to say. I posted it on RFI site whereby lower prices would attract a couple of thousand more, that's all.

So 9k @ £25 is £225k
11k @ £10 is £110k

We wouldn't make an extra £115k in beer and burger sales.

Would dropping to £20 bring in more? It sounds more palatable than saying £25 so it might bring in more, which means more money spent in the shop etc plus more fans backing the team, but it's going to be minimal.

Cup games ultimately come down to who we play. Bournmouth isn't exciting. If it were Liverpool or someone, £25 would look good.

As has been discussed before because of the tv money, Premier League clubs depend less on gate money so can afford to set a maximum away ticket price whereas Championship clubs without parachute payments need to maximize gate receipts.

Also, they know that even at £37, some clubs like Cardiff, Leeds etc will always bring a big following.

I can imagine every Bournemouth fan taking their seat looking around the home end say "what the F"!!!!

I have never seen the ticket mapping like that before.

I doubt there will be 3000 QPR there!

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

bournemouth role call on 12:36 - Jan 5 with 1889 viewsNorthernr

Apparently Bournemouth have sold out the whole end, so a very good chance we're about to be outnumbered in our own place.

That must be a first time ever they have sold both tiers at ours

Glad it's empty hopefully that will show Hoos what a ridiculous decision it was to charge £25

Live on ViaSat Sport 1 in Norway too. I can't remember the last time one of our Cup games was live on TV here either, but ViaSat are showing quite a lot of Cup games over 4 channels this long weekend.

So there is our answer then
If they have sold out their allocation at £25 a ticket, why would they show any interest in agreeing to this being reduced?
It won’t increase their support and will just reduce their share of the income.
Maybe, just this once, it’s someone else’s fault and not our own.

Started a thread on ticket prices, until I saw this. This is what I'd written, though I see much has been discussed already.

I live in SE London. Palace had a deal on for their game against Everton last night. £15 or adults, £5 for kids. Game on TV, pretty much sold out, Eveton filled their allocation. Took my son, his friend and another adult. £40 all in. Got me thinking about our prices for Cup games.

We know we have a ton of homes games this month, it's a long month until payday etc, and The F.A. Cup is less popular than it once was (sadly). Taking my 2 kids, price for 2 adults and 2 kids. £25 adults, £12 kids - all in £74.

I really feel these games we should try and get kids prices right down £1 or £5 tickets. Get some neutrals in, get some people in who couldn't go otherwise, try to fill the stadium (which despite what's been on the pitch has been done plenty).

I started going to QPR as they did £1 tickets through schools, scouts etc local groups, I know we might lose some revenue, but I really feel you'd have a good chance if getting more than an extra 2 thousand people attending if it was priced low, with suitable notice.

Poll: Will we stay up?
