Club standards / media training?? 11:15 - Jan 2 with 6928 views | TheChef | Smyth by no means the worst of our sorry bunch of players but his tweet yesterday evening was totally tone deaf. Yes Paul so pleased you scored - care to mention any disappointment about yet another defeat?? Don't the players get any guidance from the club about what may or may not be sensible to post on social media after a defeat? Feels like losing is totally acceptable, and, oh don't worry as there'll be another game (defeat) soon. Where's the contrition and desire to put things right? I'm fkin sick of 'going again'!

Club standards / media training?? on 11:58 - Jan 2 with 5773 views | MedwayR | Glad Smyth is so pleased with himself after the absolute sitter he missed vs Ipswich. I must've blinked and missed the "pushing for that win" bit yesterday.

Club standards / media training?? on 12:37 - Jan 2 with 5632 views | WokingR | No, me neither. And I'd far rather hear an individual or personal opinion than the usual media polished rubbish that tells us nothing.
Club standards / media training?? on 12:58 - Jan 2 with 5510 views | TheChef | Well there's just no acknowledgement of the defeat or our terrible run. Anyway it's social media so it's all empty platitudes anyway!

Club standards / media training?? on 13:15 - Jan 2 with 5420 views | loftboy | Watch it back, keeper got to the ball before him and knocked it out of his way slightly.

Club standards / media training?? on 14:17 - Jan 2 with 5218 views | MedwayR | I watched it back at the time and in the highlights, he should've scored it.

Club standards / media training?? on 14:47 - Jan 2 with 5123 views | James_Paddocks | It's tone deaf. I wish they'd all just shut the fck up and dissappear in the summer tbh.
Club standards / media training?? on 14:49 - Jan 2 with 5112 views | sparkey | Of all the players, little Smythy should be receiving the least stick.
Club standards / media training?? on 15:03 - Jan 2 with 5032 views | TheChef | Agreed. But it just goes to show in their little bubble they fail to read the room.

Club standards / media training?? on 15:04 - Jan 2 with 5028 views | Jimthehip | Mind you that probably would be a fair assessment
Club standards / media training?? on 15:15 - Jan 2 with 4973 views | Hoopstar | Reckon Paul Smyth would be a quality player for us in League One if it does come to that as we mostly seem to expect. There's quite a few more slow LBs in that division! Can't see anything wrong with his tweet - it's platitudes but what do you expect.
Club standards / media training?? on 16:18 - Jan 2 with 4817 views | CLAREMAN1995 | Strongly agree he is showing serious fight and desire all season IMO and has scored 2 great goals arriving at the back post in perfect timing (take note Lyndon) He also takes savage punishment and unless the ref fcuked up a Cardiff player should have been sent off yesterday for 2 hack jobs on Smyth with 2 yellows . Downside is his whining and moaning causing bookings but his effort for us is excellent IMO. Not sure about the social media I am old school and think its nuts
Club standards / media training?? on 16:30 - Jan 2 with 4760 views | Antti_Heinola | Well, depends which room. Are we all in the same room? 10 people liked dave's reply, so that suggests there's more than one room ;)

Club standards / media training?? on 16:52 - Jan 2 with 4684 views | HAYESBOY | I just think he is trying to be positive. Nothing wrong in that tweet for me.
| Smells like a trout farm in here |

Club standards / media training?? on 17:12 - Jan 2 with 4601 views | numptydumpty | Nothing wrong with what he said for me either. Think it's an attempt to keep remaining positive and absolutely tomorrow is another day. If he had said we were dogshyte and cant see a hope in hell that we can improve in any ways. If he had said that, then think we could feel aggrieved. Motto - try not to read everything as negative. Smyth in my view has been one of our mini successes in a very barren season so far.

Club standards / media training?? on 17:37 - Jan 2 with 4507 views | Juzzie | Another new year and another year older and I feel grumpier than ever but it just feels to me it just masks the problem. Going back on the modern eduction notion, when I were a lad you passed or failed your driving test. Now it's passed or did not pass. Any words that are a negative such as 'failed' are no longer used (because it's sooo hard to cope with) and replaced with the positive word with the opposite of what it achieves put in front of it.
Club standards / media training?? on 22:25 - Jan 2 with 4274 views | Antti_Heinola | i get the grumpiness. It's not about 'coping' though, it's about mindset and belief. For example, there are thousands, maybe millions of adults out there who will just hold their hands up and say 'I can't do maths' - that's the negative mindset that's been rammed into them since childhood if they weren't 'any good' at it. But the best maths teachers believe anyone can do it and they've proved it too. Off topic, but words mean things and have effects on people - sometimes for life.

Club standards / media training?? on 01:16 - Jan 3 with 4105 views | SydneyRs | It was a dumb tweet in the circumstances. It was actually the first thing I saw about the game when I checked my phone on the day and gave me the impression we'd at least got a point. So it was even more annoying than it would normally be to then see that we'd actually lost.
Club standards / media training?? on 08:13 - Jan 3 with 3922 views | Spaceman_P | I think overall our media team are way too CHUMMY. It really pisses me off they put emoji's on videos and make stupid juvenile comments during matches. I think in general the app, webpage and the videos they churn our each week are decent, but whoever is doing the twitter needs to mature and be less Gen Z just makes us look like tw*ts, its bad enough the players are doing that already.
Club standards / media training?? on 08:20 - Jan 3 with 3898 views | stevec | Pleased he said ‘great to get on the score sheet’ as at least it means someone is.
Club standards / media training?? on 08:43 - Jan 3 with 3838 views | gazza1 | If that is the entire tweet then it is a 'rubbish' tweet....end of. There is no need for any explanations why.
Club standards / media training?? on 08:50 - Jan 3 with 3818 views | QPunkR | Should have read 'surprised' rather than 'pleased'
