Third round draw today 09:54 - Dec 3 with 13976 viewsWatford_Ranger

Who do we want?

High hopes for a 1-0 defeat at Blackburn or whichever team we’re playing in the league that week and maybe a bonus injury for a key player.

Just something interesting. A new ground, a big team, a non-league team. Anything vaguely not boring.

Not my first choice, but home to a prem side is never a bad draw. Really hope we go for it. We have a month of home games in Jan and momentum could be vital.

Bare bones.

So Bournemuff at home very likely to be on a Sunday all 4 Local clubs at home so 2 are going to have to move as we are generally opposite Brentford they have the 1 opposition likely to bring a full away attendance so Police will want that one on the Saturday

I'm ok with that. Good enough to be a big test and not a let down if we lose, bad enough to actually have a legitimate shot, and at home.

Whenever I've watched Prem goals I've always been impressed with the way Bournemouth play and how quickly they move the ball about, they've got some pretty good players make no mistake about that.
Granted that my knowledge about them is quite limited, just the odd highlights now and then when I can be arsed to actually look as I'm no fan of Premiership football.

I think Marti took the cup seriously in Sweden & reached the final.

I expect that we will be fielding a stronger side than Bournemouth, but with all games in January being at home we would have liked more attractive opponents to bring in a reasonable crowd.

I was hoping for Stoke at home given how much fun Tuesday was. Bournemouth, hmm, I suppose it's not completely beyond our reach, but at a minimum it will be another opportunity to instill more Cifuentesness in the side continue our progress without having to drop any points to learn lessons.

9 London clubs drawn at home, that’ll be interesting for the Met!

Nice draw......i would expect B'mouth to be putting out a lot of fringe players - Premiership is vital for all clubs in their situation. As for us - full strength. Should be a good exciting game.

West Ham or Spurs next round, or the Shrews....away.

I think there's a nice little "Basque vs Catalan" subtext to this draw, with two managers who are almost exactly the same age and presumably must have come up against each other earlier in their careeres, or at least know of each other already.
Two managers with a very similar footballing philosophy, plus the Cook and Begovic angle, lining up against their old side with a number of the Bournemouth squad having been former teammates of both of them.
Has the potrntial to be a properly entertaining tie , this one, especially if we can keep this momentum going.

Exactly, nailed on the draw someone equally as boring in the first round, nailed on Reading away for the obligatory TV offering.

Arsenal v Liverpool will surely be televised, and presumably at least one or two of Brentford, Palace and Spurs given they're all-Prem affairs. So maybe we'll be alright? Can still see us being moved by the police though.

would love a cup run , and there must be younger fans who have never seen us in rd 5 or further.
the league and getting out of the drop zone is key but maybe winning a cup match or 2 lifts the squad, team and us fans.
