I'm in pretty good shape for my advanced years.
I have a bowel movement at seven sharp every morning.
Trouble is I don't get up 'til eight.

This is a poll on the age of people on this forum remember, rather than the age of QPR fans in general.

Many of us old farts can't attend matches in person much anymore so this place lets us live the terrace life we used to have.

Didn’t someone call this forum a ‘jumped up six form debate’ or something once?

I wouldn't encourage you to speculate otherwise.

Here in Ireland, most QPR supporters I know are all roughly the same age as me, mid 50s. We all picked QPR as our club in the mid 70s and as everyone knows, the unwritten rule is that you are not allowed to change your allegiance no matter how bad it gets. It has been one hell of a journey, but in hindsight, I wouldn't have swapped my experiences of following this club and the great people I have met for anything else.

Over here, you can identify the period when "smaller" clubs were successful, based on the age profile of their fans. For example, most Leeds fans I know are slightly older than me!

Over 70% of posters on here are over 50. That's pretty much what I thought, but it's still fascinating. I'm very interested in the demographics of this site, and age is one of them of course. I'm not a habitue of other teams' message boards, so I've no idea if this is true or not, but we seem to be a wonderfully broad spectrum of people who support Rangers.

I'm also fascinated that you put this poll up Chef, because I was thinking of doing the very same thing today.

Anyway, good to see some under 40s on here!

Entirely in keeping with being old af... I've just accidentally downvoted at least two people on this thread, so apologies for that!

(this forum has an awful layout though, that makes it basically impossible not to accidentally do that or ignore posters by mistake if you're on your phone)

Basically it will be tumbleweed and the odd RIP post in a few years then

No surprise really with the rise of social media that this board is mostly occupied by old gits (54 myself but can still run 6km under 30 mins on a good day!). That said there's still lots of good (and sometimes terrible) debate on here and its been my go to for over 20 years in its different forms.

Tbh its often refreshing to get away from the modern football types on other SM platforms.

I was in my mid 20's when I started posting on here.

I once posted Floor Jansen aged 24 she's 42 now.

Time flies.

Young kids and old people always like to tell you their age.
Standard reply ...wow that's amazing.

Am 56.

Quite often feel young, particularly when in the presence of younger females, but that's another story entirely !!!! Almost getting to the age when they say oh bless him, he is bit old anyhow, he's harmless. Looking forward to that stage of life !!!

I think lot younger people post on social media platforms.

Perhaps forums appeal to us people of more advanced years.

Almost like gung ho nonsense as spouted down many locals over many many years.

So fans forums are the public houses and the Costa coffees of this world resonate to sites formerly known as twitter !!!

I have a season ticket in South Africa Road and most regular fans I would say around me are at least mid 40s and we do have a fair number in their 60s and 70s.

When there was terraces back in the day, definitely many more young ones of which I was one.

First game attended was 1980 for me, but remember even in late 80s and early 90s cost of East paddock was still only three quid.

I could not even see a lot of the game due to being bit lacking in height !!!

Younger people with money are going be attracted to the fancy stadiums etc but younger ones who not flush with cash, even going to QPR is pricy and if its only just in range then unfortunately perhaps its not that appealing to many unless there is a family connection.

Like a few on here went with my dad in my early years and miss speaking to the old boy about the games. He went up into the Loftus Road in the sky couple years ago.

Only got step daughter myself so no young ones for next to pass the baton of doom onto...

I like to think that LFW was invented for those who can write in paragraphs.

Big up to the under 21 who voted, whoever you are.

Big up to the over 80s as well, keeping us on the straight and narrow.
