One of the teams in this article will be who we face when we have our first foray into the FA cup qualifying rounds. Any particular team/round take your fancy?
Lewes away would be my pick for selfish reasons.

Winchester would be a nice weekend visit.

There are a lot of banana skins there.
It would be nice to go to Chester or Scarborough but let’s be realistic and just have someone at home.

My choice was purely selfish due to the Dripping Pan being about 4 miles from where I live. However of course a home tie would be much better for the club.
https://www.thefa.com/competitions/thefacup/prize-fund The prize money would definitely come in handy.

Isn't that round regionalised? If so, that'll limit who we'll be playing.

I think it is regionalised up to the end of the qualifying rounds, although Scunthorpe or Brackley appear to have moved into the Southern section in this round, possibly due to the northern/southern split of teams who got through and Brackley being the home team in their replay.

Or summat!

The Biffos complete with new manager anyone?

No thanks. We've got them at home in the league the week after the cup anyway.

The lowest ranked team remaining, at home please.

Nantwich away for me.

It'd make my trip there a short one, so selfish. However, I could recommend several pubs in the town

Leek Town away for the same reasons

Some great pubs for sure, but sadly the best pie shop for many a mile, Clewlow's Butchers, has closed down. Their pork pies were the best anywhere.

I reckon
Leek
Scarborough
Whitby
Blyth Spartans/Worksop
Ashton
Marine
Chester
Curzon Ashton
Alfreton
Macclesfield

Dale, Oldham, Gateshead, Fylde, Chesterfield, Halifax, Altrincham, Hartlepool, York

Then possibly- Hereford, Stourbridge, Tamworth, Boston United, Kiddy, Solihull, Oxford

depends then whether they are going to make the likes of Kettering and Peterborough Sports as northern.

Last year Peterborough Sports, Boston, Kiddy were in the North, Hereford and Oxford South

Mind you St Ives Town (Cambridgeshire) were North

If we don't get a home tie which team would you like to play?

Whitby Town and Scarborough Athletic are still in the competition.
I would have liked Lancaster to get through but they lost to Ashton United.
Giant Axe is a lovely ground in the shadow of the castle. Never mind.

Any memorable away days in Scarborough when they were in the league?

No, because that was season 1993/94, when we lost 2-1.

The 4-2 win was in September 1994.
