Gordon Jenkins RIP 00:01 - Sep 9 with 3553 viewsbonymine

Noticed his Obituary online today very sad to hear of his passing known him since I was a season ticket holder in the old Double Decker with my Dad back in the late 70’s when I was 11/12 years old.

A true gentleman we went on many away trips back in the day with a regular group of fans.

RIP Gordon you will be missed.

Cheers Bony, my Dad would have no doubt known of him if not actually have known him, both sadly gone now.

Been tough these last two yrs for my family and i, don't think anybody truly forgets their lost parents.

My youngest is in Hospital at moment and currently in the same ward as my Dad was, had a cold shiver when I walked onto the ward on Thursday even though it was absolutely boiling there

Alas not many supporting old buggers like me remember upstairs in the Double Decker .

Parents said the North Bank was hooligans and trouble involving skinheads . you do not go to that area , I did soon after though , never told them .

Never knew the fella but RIP , great days at The Vetch .

No - I am not saying that, it just reminded me of the Double Decker back in those great days.

You obviously remember it as well ?

Oh, now I know him. I met him and his wife, in fact I had a cup of coffee in their kitchen and we talked football.

He was a lovely man.

I was sat in the Double decker when we played Scotland, surrounded by Jocks who tried to feed us whisky even though we were kids. It was quite intimidating.
