If this is the case, firstly good. Secondly, why have we wasted all of pre-season working on tactics which doesn't work to our players strengths. Brain dead stuff.

And getting them playing near each other too e.g. Willock at 11 and Chair at 10.

I don't think he will ever give his source away .

GA does hint at a change of style in the official interview . If he does change style he's basically wasted a whole pre season .

A shame, becuase I like McIntyre, but I'll be one who takes any article without quotes with a pinch of salt.

As for the change of style, it's so hard to know what's going on, isn't it?
And I don't mind that - clearly we're not supposed to know. We'll find out on Saturday.

Apart from the Prague game I only saw pre-season highlights but thought he played Willock, Chair and Richards together in some pre-season games. Looked good in the Wimbledon clip but heard Oxford wasn't great! Surely he needs to play to our strengths but mix it up a bit when necessary.

I’m positive that there will be times when a more direct style will be needed so maybe not all is lost.

I've just taken a deep breath and watched that. My good god, the poor man has aged about 20 years since he walked trough the door in February.

I get the impression he doesn't even believe what he's saying

...And expect rope-a-dope to make a re-appearance at some stage, assuming we have fit and available centre-backs who don't sh*t themselves every time the ball comes near them

That is what we played in the first half last Saturday!

What are the chances that one or two of the new signings have offered a few words of harsh reality?

I'd rather that than the tail from last season start wagging the dog again.

The beginning of the end. As soon as you see a Manager compromising on style, whether it’s due to the players demanding it or themselves having a change of heart, you know the writings on the wall.

I think it’s the right thing to do but just emphasises the total lack of planning and knowledge both in terms of those responsible for appointing him, and GA himself.

I think Ainsworth is living on borrowed time.

The fact that only a 4-0 defeat and the anger of the fans last weekend has prompted him to change things is pretty concerning.

I have a feeling that another heavy defeat this weekend and he will be gone, I sense the fans are getting pretty peed off with him.

Read that as 'GA has been told by those above to change".

A above - I hope they did go and confront the manager, that would show commitment and a respect for the manager and a willingness to sort the mess out before it is to late, this team cannot afford to become serial losers too early in the season (although suspect we will for a while).

I am worried that the players do not respect GA and therefore do not give a rats arse about what happens, the senior players either want to make a go of it and drag the younger inexperienced players with them, or they give up, wait to be transferred or run down their contracts and f**k off and screw us over one last time.

But can't managers evolve and try new things? Ollie did.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

But not sure even he knows what style he plays. We were promised this hard running pressing style. There's no evidence of it.
We were told the players would be the fittest they've ever been. Again no evidence of that.

He’s been quoted since he joined as saying he is the pillar of consistency and won’t change for anyone.

He’s stood there and sworn blind he didn’t believe in the previous approach we played. Instead, preferring his own (hoof ball) style. He also went as far to say “this club have not had an identity in years”.

However, as is so often the case - what Ainsworth says, and what is actually the truth, are poles apart.

Before he joined, under Mark Warburton, we finished 13th, 9th, and 11th, playing under the clearest identity we have had in years.

To say he has been disrespectful is an understatement. It was also an outrageous lie.

And the point made by many others, is he chats utter nonsense. He has consistently run the club down since the day he joined. He frequently contradicts himself, sometimes, unbelievably, in the same sentence. He is erratic, he never gives a straight answer, never gives an answer of any substance, he rambles, he is incoherent.

Sure, he can evolve his style. Presumably, as a last roll of the dice. But if you’ve been following his words and beliefs - you’ll realise how absurd it sounds. He is not believable in any way shape or form.

I couldn’t watch more than two and a bit minutes. Yes, it’s partly his own doing and he’ll be on good pay, but I felt sorry for him whilst watching that.

For a man that is a self-titled Mr Positive, QPR have beaten that out of him in record time!

If he cuts his locks then you know he’s bang in trouble.

You’ve got to bet he’s thinking why did he leave Wycombe?

I don't think our squad was quite that big, even under Redknapp.

My thought was slightly different, i.e. not to doubt McIntyre - who's entry a bit of trust - but to wonder whether the statement was down to Ainsworth or was imposed on him.

Not saying this is was what happened, but if, say, Dobson or Amit said "Gareth says this" it might be reasonable to report it that way.

He looks broken.

That sounds like the players have had enough, gone to him and told him they’ve had enough, and told him how they’re going to play. At least I hope so, because I don’t think GA is ever going to work it out on his own.

Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Willock starting and him and Chair picking up where they left off before Willock’s injury.

I watched some random video online spelling out why QPR are in big trouble this season.Sorry if I do not remember the person posting it but he broke it down very well and finished with GA from Saturday after the ass kicking from Watford .He looked and sounded lost and confused while taking the blame to protect the players not good at all.
The big worry is going on our mid season losing streak right away this year and we get cut adrift then it all blows up
