Ashby deal could have been done a few weeks back but the club are waiting for money from an external payment to go into their account before they wil pay the loan fee for Ashby.
Same as above in regards, a free agent left back was persued but held up as the signing on fee needed to come from an external payment and the player has now moved on and looks unlikely to sign.
10 players out since January with only 5 players including Brandon Cooper and Ogbeta in.
There is a bit of concern that after the shiny polish exterior that behind it is the same Swansea City from the last few seasons and they have fallen back into previous season mistakes regards recruitment..........this is from media people based here in Wales.
In good news, Rushworth deal delay is nothing to do with them and that was sorted weeks ago.....Brighton holding that one up.

The money that goes to buy shares DOES go to the club so is potentially able to be spent. Fair play to the 936 poster he/she was making progress but now has me on ignore so has stopped developing his knowledge. Issuing and buying new shares is a method of funding. No one has offered to buy the Trust shares as the money goes to the Trust not the club.
I have learned a lot from other posters and research about a lot of things i did not know before. Convertible loan notes, non disclosure agreements, 25% owners ship rules, how hedge funds work, banking in Delaware, commercial leases for stadiums etc, | |

Well I find it hard to believe Watson has signed up to this, i was genuinely excited about the upcoming season, but that's quickly evaporating.
Do incoming transfers really depend on Piroe going?

Definetly more down to a lower gear rather than a full hand brake though.
You can always tell something is afoot when the minions start posting redularly stating stories and trying to say that things are false or wrong that are not what they want to see or hear posted.
I think and this is my view on it, they are putting most of their efforts in trying to get money in for Piroe and possibly a AN OTHER......hopefully I am wrong but history shows us how the yanks work and we are now left with no left back which we can add to the list of criminal things that shouldn't have happened under their tenure.
The excitement and real sense of hope has certainly been smacked down a bit and unless they get their rears into gear then it's going to not be a good look early into the season. | |

This is the reality if Swansea's position geographically as well as financially and always has been.
Young players, especially those who have been at bigger clubs, will rarely choose over one that is closer to metropolitan centres or places they are familiar with or have a bigger reputation.
We could overpay and end up with a squad that isn’t an improvement and is expensive as happened towards the end of Jenkins, time.
The boll ock we've dropped this season is in appointing Duff. Who, like his predecessor, can’t impose his preferred style (early days) but also won’t / can’t adapt that desire to fit the players he has.
As for left back, when have we had one worthy of the name since Ben Davies left?
IMO we should have been looking for players from other leagues. I think we have room for overseas players the squad and are more likely to get a signature at a manageable rate than those from UK. | |
