Man Utd recalling him and sending him to Bournemouth hindered us for the season and stalled his career massively

And look where he is now. Agreed.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Could turn it on for 5 minutes a game but did little the rest of the time and routinely called for a pass then ran away from it making midfield and defenders look poor.

He’s another victim of the role he was forced to play as a sort of advanced non defensive wing back cum wide striker

After an initial good start, he faded and looked frightened to actually take a man on.
It’s like with any young player learning his craft, there’s going to be confidence issues, but if he could regain that early good form, there will be opportunities there for him.

What a signing that is. Less than £1m. Fair play Birmingham

I thought he looked good when he first arrived but he faded badly. In the end he was ony giving us a good 5-10 minutes and yes, I blame the manager.

That process he kept sticking to was rubbish unless you have owners like Sheikh Mansour who will spend hundreds of millions on the very best players.

I honestly think Southampton will regret signing Martin. I think their fans will very soon get bored and angry with possession for the sake of it. However, if Martin has learned from his time here and goes with the style we played those last 9 games then they COULD be good.

I just doubt it. It'll be the Emperors new clothes again.

HE will have to adapt or he will be screwed. They won’t be as patient as we were.
If they lose games because of his possession obsession, the pressure will be infinitely greater as their fans won’t swallow the “ process” crap

Start at the top left and read to the right all the way to the bottom, better?
