I was at the school just across town from you, Aylesbury Grammar School.

Some kids from the comprehensive school opposite sneaked in one night and spray painted a smiley face on the dome of our observatory

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Throwing stones, eh? He wouldn't have been the one who threw stones at me as I walked to school, somewhere near Sudbury Town? At age 5, I was given advice about how to deal with bullies ;-) Oh, by the way, that would have been about 1952!

Also attended Malorees Infants and Juniors. Mr. Singer was head. Left around 76 or 77 I think. Then Cardinal Manning in Ladbroke Grove, followed by several years of Old Boys football for them.

Moved south of the water and went to Wandsworth Boys scho0l, hated it, only blessing was an all girls just down the road, Mayfield Maternity was its nickname.

Best thing was on leaving a pyre of school blazers set ablaze in the playground.

I left in 1975. Mr Singer, lovely man, Mrs Cobb, not so much? Do you remember Mr Rainbow, the drama teacher? He only retired a couple of years ago.

Fox Primary School in Notting Hill

Then rejected by Cardinal Vaughan where terrifying headmaster Father Kenefeck reduced me to tears during the interview.

Went to St Clement Dane's on Du Cane Road instead and in the 6th Form was captain of the football 3rd Eleven (in other words, not very good).

Wally Downes was in my year.

Didn't go to school.

Bunked off from age 10. By 13 was a crack addict and by 15 was an associate of the Kray twins.

At age 18 I was chief operations officer for the civil service specialising in advising members of Parliament and in particular those in the cabinet. Natural order of progression.

Went watch QPR at 19 and life took another turn.

Positive or negative - God only knows !!!!!

Yes, I have fond memories of all the teachers save for Mrs Cobb who slapped my legs more times than I care to remember. Mr Rainbow was fantastic. We also had a great sports teacher called Mr Williams. There's a Malorees Facebook page and I joined some former class mates for an exchange a year or so ago, which was nice.

Claim to fame.
At JP, 1st game for school team. Opposition was Hogarth, captained by Gerry Francis. Never came to much, did he?

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the Earth all one's lifetime."
