He has worked real hard to get into the team and does not want to lose his place. As Swansea have seen with the like of Dan James and Cullen prospects are not guaranteed a starting place. Forest Green might have asked for the game to go ahead and Savage being withdrawn might have triggered a postponement. A big issue for them especially in regard to the fact the Wales game was a friendly.
Strong running game from aggressive Josh. Very active and industrious. Colwill was a Rolls Royce behind him feeding him through. Looks about 6ft 3 in. The stand out player as you would expect from a full intentional.
The Scottish commentators were mightily impressed. He was a class above all the Scots and the best Welsh player along with Beck the fullback. His level is way above this. His body needs to settle down and if clear of injuries will be a big player for Wales. Shame he is not at Swansea. A towering presence at 6 ft 3in.
Wales u17 u18 and u21 last week 5 games 4 wins 1 draw. Usually Wales have to cannibalise teams to get one good one with full internationals not stepping down. Colwill did, Matondo declined.
Stevens (ex Swsnsea loan) also had a good busy game as Wales captain. Cotteril got 20 minutes. Swansea should be scouting these prospects like Luca Hoole and Matondo who is out of favour at Rangers.
he has not kicked on for sure. I recall Swansea city signing another very fast 'headless chicken' player out of sorts in Nathan Dyer 12-13 years back.
Swansea need to find drifting young players and give them a purpose and confidence. Routledge was drifting from club to club before 2011. Some work some do not. Obafemi should have worked but at least SCFC made a bob or tow out of him.
Marcus Edwards was a drifting talent at Spurs lost his way and ended up in Portugal with an outrageous buy out clause
