The thing is there is no evidence to support the idea that Ainsworth changes his style dependent on players available. He spent 10 years at Wycombe with this “style” - and he is already on record here that he won’t be changing his beliefs or philosophies.
When you also add in the fact he has no experience of coaching another style of play - none - what reason is there to believe that should he want to change it ( he doesn’t ), he actually has the coaching ability and experience to do so? | | | |

You didn’t really answer the question I asked though, what reason is there to believe he can coach a different style?
Wycombe is my local club - I’ve been 7 times per season on average for several seasons. They have always been a long ball, direct team, and on many an occasions the fans were well and truly fed up with it. The only reason it worked and was accepted by the fans is because overall they did well. That is not proving the case at QPR. You play this style, you have to win, otherwise you lose the fans and dressing room very quickly.
As far as I can see, there is a squad-manager mismatch, and nothing makes sense. Ainsworths lack of tactical nous and in game management is already showing, and yesterday was the most unwatchable “football” I’ve seen in my 25 years. Far worse than anything served up under Critchley. We’ve gone from bad to worse - something I didn’t think was possible. | | | |

He is the heartbeat of this team, head and shoulders above all our forward players and also gets through so much work.

I suspect I am in the minority here but my opinion of Chair is that he plays very well before major tournaments to get himself in the Morocco squad. However, when he gets back from the tournaments he appears to me, to be half the player, as if he doesn't need to play to a higher level anymore as no tournament around the corner.
Last season when Chair came back from AfCon I felt he was below par and we fell away badly. This season he played well but after the World Cup I again felt he wasn't the same player. Once again we have collapsed but even more seriously than last season.
As pointed out earlier, Chair played in the Fleetwood debacle. A player of his ability should be taking the game by the scruff of the neck against league 1 opponents. To my mind he didn't and was as culpable as the rest of the team.
If Chair returns he needs to get back to his August to October form and we could do with more goals from him as our strikers rarely score. When Willock returned from injury he was a pale shadow of the player in the early months of the season. We cannot afford Chair to come back from his knock and be as mentally shot as Willock was. Also we can't put all the pressure on Chair to deliver as we need more than one player to get us over the line. | | | |

We need him back it is obvious and GA will play to his strengths. You know having Martin and Dykes ahead of him ( instead of just one) has got to generate more space for him which has to benefit the team. I was there yesterday and have to say Lowe was so disappointing, if he is a Premier League player, Ilias definitely is. You can never argue he doesn’t give 100% which puts him in my starting 11 every time. Saying that I have only been to home games this season and believe it or not missed Watford. Yeh it is all relative and that's kind of my point. We're calling for a player who was part of plenty of games lost. He hasn't been that great , he's got lots of negative aspects to his game which frustrates not only fans but his own team mates. He doesn't pass, he drops his head way to quickly and doesn't bring the best out of his team mates apart from Willock. He has loads of skill and works his socks off but I honestly don't think he's the one to suddenly turn this team around. With Willock on the pitch, Paal and Laird we might have something.. He is a good lad, works hard, wants it, skills, good attitude, and a big asset......he no top premiership player and maybe not even premiership quality most of the time but he is good for us and people need to understand that and stop complaining. Our best forward thinking player by far. | | | |
