Marvin Hagler v John Mugabe 10:09 - Mar 8 with 2050 views | max936 | Watched a re-run of their fight last night, brutal absolutely brutal, Hagler was immoveable he just wore Mugabe down to a standstill in the end, hell of a fight though. Hagler was probably the best Middleweight I ever had the privilege of, he was just a wrecking machine, awesome.

Marvin Hagler v John Mugabe on 14:11 - Mar 8 with 1977 views | Cleddau | Great fight, though I haven't watched it for many years so I may have to remedy that. The 80s was a wonderful era for boxing with some incredible matches. The Mugabi fight was intended to be part of the build-up for a Hearns rematch and he delivered a sensational performance on the undercard but of course, Leonard jumped the queue. Hagler has one of the all-time great chins, the way he ate up clean shots from Hearns and Mugabi that just bounced off his head.

Marvin Hagler v John Mugabe on 15:36 - Mar 8 with 1949 views | Togg | Absolutely. It's always been contentious. If memory serves me right hadn't Leonard been out of the ring for three years. Had an eye operation and lousy come back fight where he was put on his rear . I remember reading that Leonard's family begged him not to fight Hagler as he was the most destructive middleweight around. I think Leonard said in his book, he would always commend Hagler on his boxing skills, rather than his power and durability. Maybe hoping that Hagler would try and box Leonard in any possible future fight rather than try to take his head off. Great fighter Hagler, as was Leonard, Hearns Duran, Benites and more. Probably the best era ever. Mayweather would never have gone unbeaten with those guys around.

Marvin Hagler v John Mugabe on 20:16 - Mar 8 with 1861 views | biggar | This was a brilliant fight. Mugabi was literally a beast though probably at his best at 154. This was the fight where Hagler definitely began to look beyond his peak. Great fight though and Hagler is one of my all time favourites. I still can’t quite believe that he’s no longer with us.
