That's a shame although he did provide the best answer ever to a radio phone in many, many years ago on GMR.
Some bint from Wigan phoned in on a Saturday morning in the days you could win a pair of tickets for City or United the same afternoon.
The question was.... "name the BBC commentator you'd most associate with Formula One?"
The Wiganner uhmed and aahed, and, as were the rules, asked for a clue.
(Now, we all know it's Murray Walker.)
The DJ said, "think of his first name. It's something you might suck."
