Strange how we manage to get threads with pages and pages of comments on why nurses on £32k a year should be budgeting better and how people who use foodbanks are scroungers.
Why do the same posters have nothing to say about our former PM securing £800k in undeclared loans to help him afford his lavish lifestyle?
Come on then. Where are all the comments telling him he shouldn’t have kids if he can’t afford them or he just needs to learn how to budget better?

You know, I agree with Kilkenny, Bojo should be in prison. It won't happen but it would be a fair cop in my opinion.
People are claiming this means the BBC is right wing now too. The relity there is, self serving greed transcends political beliefs. Bojo had this loan because of a person whom he later gave a very good job to, the person who guaranteed the loan didn't care of Bojo was left. right or completely up his own caboose because he possibly already knew that when a certain job was open, he'd be a shoo in.

Twitter has some interesting takes.
1. It looks like the advice from the Cabinet Secretary was, 'family' loans don't have to be declared. And suddenly, a distant cousin appeared on the scene.
2. Was it was cash for favours under the guise of being a loan. Was never a loan in reality ?
3. Presumably the idea is it’s a loan while he’s in office and a gift would be notifiable, but is then later written off when he’s done being an MP. ?
4. Also if it's income disguised as a loan, there is no tax payable.
5. The PM has only one source of salary. The taxpayer. And it’s at a rate that would never service an 800k loan. He wouldn’t have afforded it at high street rates. So it’s preferential. A gift. Potentially dodgy ?
