Here is Accringtons pitch comments

Pitch prep completed a day early due to the storm on its way.
We’ve Vertidrained, pro cored and applied a wetting agent to get us thro Sat/Tues.
Moisture currently sitting at around 20% so no problems there.

Especially that grown man who knocks about with kids half his age whilst playing the pied piper. The bloke is as thick as mince.

It's not completely irrelevant. I'm looking at Oldham who are 6 miles down the road so I can't imagine the weather was drastically different. If Oldham have got their game on that gives us hope we can get ours on

Would argue that two football pitches in Rochdale are impossible to compare, let alone the next town.

Each will have different drainage, pitch structure and slight variances in the weather.

Especially as one of them once had a plastic carpet on top of it for a number of years which then had to be dug up and relaid with the benefit of PL funding not open to others.

On a positive note the sun is trying to show itself and there are bits of blue sky to be seen. That wind is also drying things out pretty quickly. No rain for a good hour too. Fingers crossed 🤞

My granny use to say if there is enough blue sky to make a pair of trousers then it was going to be a good day.

Enough blue sky to make a sailors' jacket was the expression from my Grandad.

No Blue sky at Spotland BUT it has finally stopped raining. 2 hours to work on the pitch hope the Referee gives this every chance.

The club deserve a lot of credit for the work put in and ensuring refs are given the opportunity to make decisions that see games going ahead.

Well done to the ref too.

Definitely. We seem to be managing this process much better, although pitch improvements will have helped of course

It’s a very important weekend with Gillingham also playing Hartlepool. A win for us and a draw in the other game will suit me just fine.
Will have no issue with an ugly win today. It’s all about the points.
Come on Dale let’s build some momentum.
