As far as formations go, it seems to me like we're playing 4 at the back and a lone striker as the constants. The other 5 outfield players adapt to whatever phase of play may exist and so we could be transitioning between loads of different formations (could be 4-5-1, 4-1-4-1, 4-3-3 or something else at any given moment).
Surprises:
- Yates playing wide.
- Fiorini playing deep.
Debuts:
Fiorini: Played well particularly in the first half showing dome excellent vision.
Thompson: Solid, clean sheet.
Williams: Not in any trouble, clean sheet
Corbeanu: Couldn't be judged after coming on late
Subs: didn't have any effect on proceedings. The number of changes was quite bewildering. The subs came on lateish.

Post 2 - 1 loss away to Wigan
Just a short one.
Apart from one of the league's highest scorers being moved from defensive right to attacking let in successive matches, and there's other stuff as well. There's only one main point to highlight:
There's been a heavy schedule of Saturday followed by midweek matches. Injuries, suspensions and illness have taken a massive toll on the squad. The vast majority of the match, and not for the first time recently, was played by 10 men.
The players had given everything and were out on their feet.
The manager chose to make only 1 substitution and that was after 89 minutes when we'd just gone 2 - 1 down.
