It also said Roger would be in the stocks outside and rotten fruit is being sold at £20/kg. Now that's enterprising!

Apologies for a possibly stupid question but is this event next week for all fans or just Dale Trust members?

Usual fayre James. But we were treated to an in depth presentation to the Hornets angst at the Figi game being moved to Salford.

We were shown emails and a timeline of events leading to the venue switch.

I won't repeat my deleted remark of a few days ago as apparently it upsets sensitive modern souls, but I was right then, and I'm still right now. And on this issue, I'll always be right. Three Lions was there too and also spoke sense - and he's even more forthright than me!

Thank you R17. One day I will make it to one myself. Were 'off pitch issues' discussed? Saw a tweet (by a fan) suggesting there had been some last season (not relating to the hostile takeover)

Lets face it…if you had said about gays, immigrants, women or people from liverpool what you said about all hornets fans you would have been banned from this board.

And you still dont think there is anything wrong in what you said. At least we know it wasnt alcohol fuelled.

You dont drink in the Cem do you?

I met Three Lions a while back. Big Rugby League fan (Mayfield I think) as well as supporting the local criket team, so fair play to him.

I'm sure the new Board of the football club said that the big loser in this was the town of Rochdale which is exactly what I and others said. it is a crying shame that Roger never bothered to draw up a heads of agreement, because if he ad then both codes would have made money from an event that put the town on the map.

Ultimatly it's yet another example of how utterly out of his depth he was as a CEO.

It can't be stated enough that there's a huge difference between those who support the current regime at Hornets, and those who want to see the back of the current regime but still want to see Hornets have a successful future, even if that means plying their trade in the lower ranks of rugby league

It wouldn't bother me if that was at the COA, providing there was a new negotiated settlement which led to a professional and amicable agreement between Dale & Hornets; but neither would i be too bothered if they left providing Hornets were able to find a new home within the town. It's the town being represented by a club that has a tradition, and it matters not how many times it's been reconstituted or changed where it plays

And as i've said before, it's irrelevant whether you like rugby or detest it - it's simply a sporting endeavour that represents the town to the rest of the sporting world. I'd like to see it much better represented than the current regime seem able to do, but we've been there as Dale fans recently and that was no reflection whatsoever on us

I understand the feeling around issues that have stretched back for some years now, about how some Hornets supporters have a lack of respect for Dale for no other reason than snobbery. I've experienced it in my own family. And it's their problem, a reflection on their insularity and lack of perspective. I'd like to think we're better than that

Yes, on the basis that the manager went on first and left early, and the board were unable to comment on on-going legal issues/EFL disciplinary.
There was an excellent illustration of just what is involved in staging an event at Spotland, including lessons learned from the cancelled Queen tribute drugfest.
Other topics included safety of exit from Sandy, lack of tannoy in Sandy (tested before matchday and was working), disabled accommodation, youth and women's football, infrastructure improvement, how the boards tasks are structured, can't remember owt else.
